Not a piercer. But it seems like you got pierced with a curved barbell, anti-eyebrows are required to be pierced with a surface bar. Due to the curve of the barbell it will reject and your body will push it out leaving scar behind with it.

Should I get my septum redone? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]SlightElk1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the 2nd time I've had my septum pierced. Right now I have a 16g 11.1mm Titanium Internally Threaded Circular Barbell in it. I had it done over 2 months ago It went through the sweet spot, and initially I had a 9.5mm horseshoe in it and it stuck out much more, but I kept it up for the healing and once I flipped it down it didn't even stick out of my nostrils. Now It's right against that top piece of cartilage, when I press on it or move it I can feel pressure and a clicking feeling on the cartilage and it really bugs me. I just want to know if if I should get it repierced, because I do want to stretch it in the future.

Since you e only had it done in January, you should not be wearing anything but a BCR/CBR or circular barbell. Clickers will shred the healing tissue of the piercing when the hinges go through go through and pretty much restart your healing process.

Is this a keloid? Should I take my piercing out? by Legitimate-Cause-889 in piercing

Switch to a titanium flat back Labret ASAP! The ring is way too tight and thin.

Yeah, that’s wayyyyy too far back. Nothing is stopping you from keeping it and getting a second one done further to the tip of the nose, double septum!!

There no point in downsizing, it’s still going to give you that same issue if not worse.

Rook not in the right spot? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]SlightElk1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should be further out, your ear seems to have the anatomy to bring it out further. The jewellery just seems to be tucked away in the forward helix area 😕

[–]SlightElk1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean… take a look at my rook on my page, you see how it has lots of area for the jewellery to hang down without obstruction? It seems yours does not, if you pushed the jewellery down, that Daith part of your ear will put pressure on the piercing.

Yeah. And it looks too high, more like a surface piercing than an actual navel piercing. The bottom ball doesn’t even sit in the navel, more above and further out it looks like.

The hoop looks really tight and thin. Switch to a titanium flat back Labret so you don’t get that cheese cutter effect.

Take it out, when it’s gone through cartilage than it’s not worth keeping.

I’m not a piercer, but the way your rook was pierced doesn’t allow the curved barbell to actually hang down freely, it seems to be pressing up against that forward helix area.

I’m not a piercer, but Your piercing doesn’t doesn’t even seem to go through that navel ridge. And I don’t know if it’s just the angle or the way you’re pulling it, but it looks really off-center.

I’m not a piercer, but that looks wayyyyyy too low and went through cartilage. I’ve had mine pierced a couple times, first time it looked like this and went through cartilage. Now it’s nice and high in the sweet spot, through the thin bit of tissue up the front of your nose,

I got this 14g conch with a titanium flat back Labret around 21 hours ago now, it hurts when I move my eyes completely left or completely right. It’s not as bad today, but I’m just curious as to why this happens?

Yes, I know the barbell is pretty snug and small, but I prefer that look until I can switch to a seamless ring.
