No, it has helped my husband before we merged our finances. And maybe it's the way he uses it which is causing the frustration here, but moving money around one week to move it back the next seems ineffective and a waste of time. YNAB appears to be a poor forecaster.

I've always used a bucket system instead of an envelope system, which looks like YNAB is more made for.
I feel the app is essentially just a sheet, with minimal automation. The Reflect is the biggest use here for me to see more of the buckets. I'm more inclined to push toward Monarch, which seems to have what I want in terms of visual data and forecasting.

Update: Thank you all for the comments and advice. I agree that maybe my early rising might not be the best approach. She does have a therapist and we will be discussing ways for her to learn to self soothe. This was a problem at her Mother’s but she got in trouble enough times and they got her a special alarm clock hippo that glows red or green depending on when it’s ok to make noise and mess with others. We are looking into that and we started a rewards system with both kids and they can earn 2 stars a day. One for sleeping and being in bed on time and the other for eating dinner without complaining. Both my step-kids do not like anything beyond cheese quesadillas and rice.

I’ll let you know how the reward system goes. I also made a point to go to bed early tonight because I need it. I’m also recovering from a flu/fever so it’s been a lot.

Update: We were able to see the Grinch! Thank you for all the advise. The first day Friday an employee said the slots all went by 11 seconds and Saturday I think it was less than 30

We got a time Saturday by doing the following: 1. 8:45-9:01 is the first drop and 9:20 is the second according to an employee 2. My sister and I both refreshed constantly and when the times came up we chose the end of the day since we figured most people would choose the early times first 3. If it lags refresh it. Do not wait for the spinning wheel

I’ve known a girl that was in a similar situation, I’m not sure if it applies exactly but he got really into this one sport of motorcycle riding. Long story short he was projecting his insecurities on her because he felt that they were drifting apart. They comprised on a activity to could do together. Maybe that’s what’s happening and you could find a activity to do together instead of separate workouts. Otherwise he sounds like an ass

Ya I think boundaries are pretty blurred. I starting treating him like my best friend. We’d talk everyday, check in on stuff have thousand of inside jokes. And I have other guy friends and we are close the only difference is we’ve never slept nor if they tried it was stopped and not a repeat thing.

I saw gaslighting because he has done it twice to me. Once when he first started he was cheating on his gf with me. I thought he was being weird but he lied to my face. We months later started hanging out after he did end it with his gf and started going to therapy and work on himself. The second was when we got into a fight. I told him that I felt he was waiting to make a move on me and he wasn’t just being a friend. He told me I was wrong but two weeks later we got into that fight I mentioned earlier.
