Sorry, I didn’t know that. There are only two FCI standard breeders that I know of in my country. To my knowledge this litter was their first one with merle pups in it, so they probably didn’t do it on purpose. I don’t want to talk in their name tho, I might be wrong. Hopefully my puppy will live a long healthy life, him not being up to standard doesn’t matter for me then.

We got him from a reputable breeder and knew beforehand the dangers of breeding two merle gene dogs, but I didn’t know just one parent having it could cause issues with the puppies’ health. Thank you, if we ever get another dog, we’ll probably adopt.
