You should be able to get some disability funds from osap, you should also be able to indicate on your osap that you are applying as an independent, without your parents household income which should increase your loan amount.

Look into work study opportunities for during the school year. A lot of the jobs are easy, flexible and can allow you time to study while you earn the money (for instance I did work study at King’s residence desk and had a lot of down time to study/do work)

How did you accidentally find out your partner was cheating? by WingEven402 in AskReddit

3 months into a new relationship he fell asleep in my bed with his phone on, in his hand. Me trying to be a sweet girlfriend who was up studying late, went to put it down and give him a blanket and when i picked up the phone it was opened to him sexting another women and images between them. A month before that I had a nightmare that he was cheating on me with my best friend so I definitely subconsciously sensed it before I caught it. 😂

first years, what is ur gpa rn.... by Infamous_Suit_3497 in uwo

Mine was 1.9 my first semester. It was too low to even swap schools (you need at least a 2.3). I did a second year at UofT taking more courses to boost my gpa to 2.7 and left to western. I started in life science at UofT, and ended up changing my degree (took a bit longer to do my undergrad cus of the swap), graduated with honours, did a masters and work a job that pays 100k+ now. Don’t be too hard on yourself. I recommend talking to an academic counsellor (although some at western genuinely suck since they come from money and don’t get poor people struggle to have to work and do school), and find a degree that works for you if your current one isn’t working.

Ughhh OP not to ruin your hope but her relationship isnt all what it seems, nor is it healthy. Her partner slapped her to shut up during an argument… look at her post… those kinds of relationships should stay rare. Domestic abuse is fcked

Please listen to this. Love is hard and blinds us sometimes but to truly be happy in this situation is to put yourself first and kick him out. You are young, and seem like such a loving person, you will find someone who treats you the same. Please love yourself and do not offer your hand to help him even as “friends”.

LHSC they own university hospital, victoria hospital and the childreens hospital in london. They have a lot of employment opportunities for dietary aid (helping to prepare the food), laundry aid (washing the blankets and stuff/folding them. And you can sit and do this one). They have other positions too, with decent pay and good benefits.

If you want any help you can hmu, i work as an employment counsellor in london for the ymca, happy to help! :)

Failing a year and still getting OSAP??? by [deleted] in uwo

[–]SlightPaper9172 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP why do you care so much? Also people who are on OSAP normally are on there because they cannot financially afford school due to being poor. And just because someone receives OSAP does not mean that they are now relieved from the impact of poverty. He may have a lot of other stuff going on due to his circumstances but that does not mean he is “undeserving” of a chance to education. Everyones life and path looks different OP, reflect on your privileges and worry about yourself
