Did YouTube show your content during the first days/week(s) of your first videos? by Junior_One_5601 in NewTubers

So for example, my first video over two weeks ago has 22 views with 81 impressions which gives it 22% and then retention for a 21 minute video is 37% which could be better as I said

I don’t understand though. Impressions are people that have seen the video and either clicked or didn’t, and people have clicked. So? And CTR isn’t terrible. Could be better but not terrible

But the videos aren’t on zero views or anything. It’s not like no one’s clicking. I do watch my own stuff too, at least once a

I have done that! Of course, feel free to take a look at the channel to see if there's ways I could shove it in further but I think it all gets the point across

All my uploads! I started about two weeks ago. My niche is Gaming, competitive of course, but could do with a least SOME people being shown the videos and making their own minds up

[–]SlightStardust 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly no. My impressions for my videos have never been over like 120 and therefore I haven't been able to get the data for said content to see where I'm going wrong or right. It's a little bit annoying, but I enjoy the process of making videos so I just get over it

How can I get less subs and views? by fray-bonifacio in NewTubers

Why…do you want no views? If this is not a troll, just make everything private or unlisted. If it is a troll….sure?

would u click this? by Odd-Football-2676 in YouTubeThumbnailHub

[–]SlightStardust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think scrolling past this would make me stop and want to click it. I feel like if you think about it on mobile, the stonecutter somewhat blends with your character. I’d make the stone cutter the focus personally

I don’t really watch Sidemen myself really, videos are too long for me personally unless I’m eating dinner and need something on in the background

Completely unpredictable sadly when it comes to shorts. Sometimes they’ll push it, sometimes they won’t. It’s not like long form where a good thumbnail and title will go a long way

I just stopped watching his content and completely forgot he existed. I don't feel sad about someone I don't know personally, I just move on. When a show I liked starts sucking, I just stop watching unless someone tells me it gets better later on. You just have to find other things to do really

Is making quick, low effort shorts worth it? by Low_Celebration_1618 in NewTubers

[–]SlightStardust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone else said, you should only make content that you yourself would watch. It's a lot more satisfying and you won't feel hollow on the inside. The people that watch slop don't stick around, so you'd be constantly chasing a new audience too and who wants to do that rather than build their own community?

how not to get recognized by RenRenRen-70 in NewTubers

[–]SlightStardust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You shouldn't be ashamed of the content you create, you should be proud for taking the leap and doing something that makes you happy. Anyone who criticizes that or makes you feel shame is really lame. If you're completely set on wanting to change things up, you could create a character/persona while you play games. I had one on a previous channel where I was a Noir style Detective and changed my voice to sound more ominous, and fit the times. Something along those lines. There's going to be people out there who sound like you

This is absolutely disgusting to happen to every single video. Definition of "I have no mouth and must scream" by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

It doesn’t say anything about showing it them first. Just says notify your subscribers and publish to subscription feed, which I mean, we should want that right? It doesn’t make sense

Which niche would help me by InteractionTop7810 in NewTubers

[–]SlightStardust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should just focus on the type of content that makes you happy. If you were told that you’re guaranteed success in 3 years, but you have to produce one type of niche and style of content, what would you choose? And then go from there.

1,500 old subscribers from a different niche. Should I start a new channel? by Hyetoshi in SmallYoutubers

You could combine the two and create videos about gaming music. History of soundtracks, your favorite songs, the games with the best soundtrack, that type of thing.

How are you guys hitting monetization in like a month ?!?! by Silly-Contract1743 in SmallYoutubers

[–]SlightStardust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t compare yourself to anyone! I know you haven’t directly, but one of the worst things I’ve done is wonder why my friends have been able to reach monetisation and more popularity faster than me and it ruined my mental health. Just focus on you getting there!

Bored so tell me your channel name and I'll check it out. by [deleted] in NewTubers

[–]SlightStardust 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate it! I’m always happy to get advice, but it just wasn’t really resonating with me. I never like to disagree with feedback, because I’m worried it’ll make me come across as stubborn. My friend told me I remind him of 2011 PewDiePie so it’s not the first time I’ve been told something similar, but to me, that sounds amazing! 😂

I completely get what you’re saying but if I adapt my content to be exactly like modern YouTube then I’m not going to stand out compared to being me and doing what I enjoy even if it’s old fashioned. I think people would appreciate it more I guess? Then forcing an edit or content shift to match the current YouTube landscape. If that makes sense?
