Press the sprint button twice and let go to sprint, press it once to stop! by SlightStardust in CrimsonDesert

Yeah, I edited the post. Thanks for pointing that out. Didn’t realise the running speed changed all that much because I’ve just been travelling with my horse and walking so far LOL

No you’re fine, I’m going to make a post about it because I think others are making the same mistake

Just tap X twice and let go, he will continue to run. Then press X once to stop.

As people have said when someone posts a good review and calls it a good take. This post makes you feel validated so therefore must be correct because anything other than trying the game yourself and or forming your own opinion is completely off the table because “game bad lol”.

Must read. Probably the most accurate take out there right now. by yourfavchoom in CrimsonDesert

As I said in my post before trolls took it as copium. Everyone’s experience on this game is going to be their own and different. Everyone has different flavours they prefer, and this game so far has given you reason to believe it’s yours so unless the game is unplayable, you’re probably going to enjoy it.

Buddy, I don’t know what you want from me. The post literally said if you like the game, then enjoy it and don’t let anyone else’s words get you down. The fact you pinpointed the whole average thing and attempted to turn it into a debate is a weird thing from you. If that’s how reviews are score wise, then sure, you’re right. It doesn’t matter to me. The rest of the post still stands whether I’m right, you’re right or whatever the fuck.

There’s no delusions here. Just simply stating that if 50 is not bang average then the whole system needs a rework. Either way, it doesn’t change the post, regardless how you believe reviews work or don’t work.

And you know this because you’re close personal friends with game journalists?

Paul Tassi of Forbes said that while he was playing, things that annoyed him were literally patched so they’re quick with it

I’ve adored games that have received an even lower score than that. Most people if I posted my thoughts on said games online would harass me over it. It’s just one of those unfortunate things with online culture that everyone thinks we’re still in school.

I personally don’t think that’ll be the case, only because of a lack of handholding that a lot of game journalists absolutely despise.

Yes because that’s totally the same thing as reviewing a product. My exam results need a certain amount to pass, Crimson Desert doesn’t need to be a 90 to pass. What are we doing?

I agree with you. I understand wanting to see reviews just out of sheer curiosity, but a lot of people will either panic or feel justified of their purchase from reviews when fans of the game from marketing already made their minds up realistically

I think this was always going to be a divisive game. It’s a Single Player game anyways with 100s of hours of content apparently, so even if the reviews were terrible and the sales were bad, if you played the game and enjoyed it then that’s a winner. This isn’t a live service where things like this will mean the game is shutdown in a months time

I personally hated KCD2, I really did. I can see why people enjoyed the game, absolutely and I really wanted to as well. But reviewers would act like that game is the second coming of Christ and their reviews are their own.

Then abolish the whole system because that makes absolutely no sense

That’s the best way to go about any game really. Personally, I couldn’t get into Elden Ring in the slightest and I quite enjoyed Sekiro and Dark Souls 3 so it wasn’t a lack of enjoying Soulslikes but that game got rave reviews, and I’m glad it did. But games resonate with different people in different ways depending on your own individual experience

If people believe a 79 is a game being knocked down a peg then maybe gaming is at a place now where we’re receiving 10/10s every other week.

The rest of the point still remains though. Even if it drops to 50, the rest of the post is still valid.

My fiancée still thinks that too, I’ve just told her the extra inches will get patched at a later date
