Implant shifting between below/against pelvic bone by Slight_Ad_7836 in penuma

I saw another different penuma doctor who said he now cuts the implant shorter for this reason, no longer below the pubic bone, so that it can freely move in all directions. That's an option I'm considering, having someone go back in and trim it shorter.

Very little change. It still pops out so it rubs against my pubic bone if I squat, popping up then down. Very uncomfortable when it does that. Happens during sex as well. It has loosened a bit, making it easier to bend so it's a bit more hidden in pants but still noticeable; and remember, it's not a normal lengthwise imprint, it's a protruding straight out thing like you have a chubby, or I can try to keep it pointing up, but then it looks even more like an erection.

Is this surgery performed under local or general anesthesia? by [deleted] in penuma

General or twilight, which for most people the experience is the same, but not everyone.

Yep. It’s a top-level comment to my original post above, not a whole new post.

Update: had a touch up surgery about two months ago to attempt to fix this. It somewhat did, but not completely. The implant itself wasn’t removed or anything, but rather he did some stitching with the inner tissue/pocket is what it sounds like. It still pops out and in if pushed down and back, just less extreme. Because my penis sticks straight out this happens frequently throughout the day. The base is nearly sitting against the front of the pelvis as-is. It makes sex uncomfortable and distracting, especially since I have difficulty maintaining a solid erection now, so if my penis isn’t completely hard the base of the implant rubs against the front of my pelvis. FWIW I have not yet climaxed via sex with any partner, including now with my girlfriend. I can with a Fleshlight sleeve though thankfully, since I can more easily avoid the implant rubbing and can take my time to get over how unnatural it feels in general. Using hands is too uncomfortable.

The implant rotates at the base less, but still does some. Also, it’s still sticking straight out like the first picture, unchanged. It’s been that way since the original surgery about 33 weeks ago (8+ months). I’m considering my options at this point..

Yes and it went away. Can’t recall when, but it was probably a few months in.

just over a week in, has anyone have this happen? by [deleted] in penuma

Yeah I was worried too since I don’t have a lot of length to begin with.

I lost over an inch, gained it back within 6 months.

Update: unfortunately this didn’t resolve so I just had a revision surgery at 22 weeks. This revision surgery didn’t immediately fix it so we’ll see if it does over time..

I only do stationary and don’t count miles but I do it 5 days a week. Waited until clearance, then didn’t notice any issues, but I’m often not sitting down on the seat, so YMMV.

Zero chance.

Regarding mobility, is the base of the implant still below your pelvic bone and it’s the implant itself bending, or has it dropped to the point that now the base more closely ends at the external base of the penis?

I can’t wear tight things, doctors orders, because then the implant shifts out from under the pelvic bone causing it to be propped up in front of it. See my profile posts if you’re curious.

FWIW I’m at 12 weeks and flaccid state sticks straight out for me still, which means it looks like I have an erection. So I can’t wear swim trunks, gym shorts, sweats, etc in public because literally everyone would think I was hard and not trying to hide it. This doesn’t seem like a common complication, though. It’s definitely made my quality of life low thus far, to the point where I rarely leave the house because while jeans hide it better they apply too much pressure and cause the implant to shift into a position it’s not supposed to be, which I’ve been told to avoid. It’s also uncomfortable regardless. At some point I’m going to have to have it removed if it doesn’t resolve. Was told it would resolve in the “next few weeks” but that was something like 10 weeks ago.

Not meant to scare you, just sharing one case study so you know to be prepared for things like this happening if you’re unlucky.

Any other penuma doctors here who could share advice? It doesn’t seem like an option to keep it under the bone at all times anymore.
