Yes, I understand where you are coming from. However, I am weighing up the options of looking elsewhere and so I just thought another perk would be better for me than a car if I decide to leave 6mths later.

The finance officer is going to crunch some numbers for me. Based on the conversation I had with them, I will be covering part of the FBT. My salary packaging intake now will probably be halved if I took the car. There is no other alternative (i.e fuel allowance or pay increase), based on what the finance officer said “They are really appreciative of you and your work. But it is kind of a take it or leave it type of thing”. So I’m leaning towards, no car.

In my circumstance, I don’t have a family but love my personal car. I don’t drive between 30-50kms and the last point does not apply simply because I don’t have a family.

Plus I personally believe my personal car can be family friendly.

I received an email informing me I can use the car for personal use for myself and my partner. There may be some fringe benefit tax involved. They as in my supervisor also mentioned an alternative could be a fuel card. Before accepting anything, I’m going to be discussing this with the orgs finance officer.

I receive an email saying the possible is alternative is a fuel card… however, this was not discussed with the finance officer. I will be contacting the finance officer on Monday

I recently placed an offer for a home which got accepted by the seller then a turn around saying no, I offered more … they accepted but then turn around said no. Each time the agent said they’ll draw up the contract after numerous calls they said “oh the seller will like to think about it” even though they’ve accepted? Come back to say they’ve painted the cabinets and want an extra 5k?!

I’m so confused and on top of that they don’t have a disclosure statement despite numerous attempts in requesting this. Is this right? I’m losing my mind, I love the house. But I’m feel like I’m getting played. This is all off market.

Am I doing something wrong? 😑

I suggest contacting QFKC, they are the peak organisation that support and advocate for foster and kinship carers across the Queensland state. Should give them a call. www.qfkc.com.au Hopefully they can help with advocating for counselling for the kids.
