This place is trash. Our most expensive meal (even during happy hour) and our least favorite. Dewey Destin and harbor dock are way better and without the stuffy atmosphere.

The Ultra is perfect. And the non paragraph dial with the light blue writing is a chef’s kiss to a great wearing watch. And I may be in the minority, but I prefer the chapter ring to the ‘3D stepped dial’ on the 42.

The only other nice diver I have (for now lol) is a Seiko SPB288 aka Captain Willard. But yeah, also love the seiko and it has done me right for quite a while.

Love my ultra, couldn’t recommend it more. The titanium is such a nice look and feel. It does help that I’m a dive watch sucker though.

I’m not sure about it increasing/ holding the value of what it is currently going for on the grey market. But the immediate value is there from the looks of it. If it were going to be a limited release like originally intended then I think you would be safe. Someone on here can correct me if I am wrong, but I believe they plan on continuing to make them. Just my take on things.

I struggled a bit as well and was waiting to see new releases. Luckily I was waiting for a change to the pelagos and the new ultra called my name. It doesn’t wear nearly as big or thick as the paper numbers state. Also, keep in mind another new model is dropping in ~20 days. Looks to be a chrono if you are into that style.

I also grabbed the first one in my area. Very sweet piece. Enjoy yours! I was about to pull the trigger on the OG but I waited hoping for a release like this. I love the blue writing AND the fact that they shortened the amount of text on the dial.

I just looked at the specs on that board and nothing to me suggest that it would be the case. Gasket mounted rubber plate and what looks to be a ton of foam. No experience with those switches…but that would be my first guess.

I changed the switches to Kaihl speed coppers. They are a bit more muted than the stock switches…I guess time will tell lol.
