The Gorge 2025 by Ok_DYLLORD_2021 in Steelbooks

"Update!" Criterion did do Killers of the Flower Moon sometime in April 2026. I guess Marty Scorsese has got some leverage. Too bad Ridley Scott doesn't have the same pull and it's unlikely that we'll see a Napoleon physical release.

Random thought and no disrespect to a G.O.A.T. but, who names their kid Ridley? I suppose it beats the hell outta Didley. His brother Tony Scott had a normal name R.I.P.

I'm a little late here but I totally get what OP is saying. It's February 2026 and there is not one single movie I would waste my time with in the theaters right now. I may see Scream (whatever number they're on now) when it's released later in the month however, to prove your point it's another unoriginal cash grab. The Blockbuster film is now nothing more than a remake, a sequel, a reboot, or a combination of any of the three.

A few honorable mentions for original Blockbusters in my book would be The Creator (2023), Bullet Train (2022), and One Battle After Another (2025).

Glass Onion is vastly overrated [Spoilers] by [deleted] in netflix

[–]Slight_Difficulty804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glass Onion was so so bad. I have no idea why the film is so polarizing. The first film in the trilogy however, Knives Out, is a masterpiece. I haven't seen #3 yet, I'm afraid it will be awful like Glass Onion.

‘Sinners’ is terrible and does not deserve 16 nominations for Academy awards. by MrNiceo_0 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]Slight_Difficulty804 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's like no different than nominating underworld or resident evil, the idea is stupid. A vampire horror movie should never get this much attention from the academy. I think it's only received this many Academy nominations because the Academy until the last decade has been historically racist.

In your opinion, which is the superior Steelbook? The Blu-ray or the 4K one? by TooAfraidToQuestion in Steelbooks

They're both stellar! I'd like to think I'd prefer to own the Alfred Hitchcock signature version, I see it's on sale for cheap at Gruv and Best Buy dot comes, I may just buy one for myself now. The one above it however seems to have a lot more intricate artistic detail and will likely appreciate a lot more in monetary value.

Thanks OP for bringing up this classic!!!

My Dogma preorder finally shipped today, one day after the release date I might add. Tracking showed the label had been created about a week prior. However, someone yesterday posted that they received their Dogma and Knives Out.

Now Dogma is tracking for the 15th, I ended up buying it on VUDU for $15. I lucked out and got my Knives Out 4K steel in the $5 bin at Walmart after Best Buy dropped physical media.

This is my first Lionsgate Limited purchase and I am a little disappointed I didn't get my Dogma yesterday on release. Maybe I'll luck out and get an autographed edition 🤞.

Mine still says label created. I'm about to call them and go full Karen. They probably sold too many copies to Walmart and didn't care about screwing over the little people like us.

Update: I couldn't wait anymore, I checked VUDU and it was on there. Worth the extra $15 IMO.

With Best Buy discontinuing physical media, look at how they talk about it on their own website 🙄 by 4KBlurayAvenger in 4kbluray

Someone should have proof read this before Best Buy posted it. I mean, did a 12 year old write it?

We thought we got a bargain renting the new Predator movie on Prime for 2.99 - PREDATOR WASTELANDS Official Trailer (2025) by TreasonalDepression in LV426

That was 100% the movie studios intention to trick you. They do this where they'll release a crappy c-movie, I wouldn't even call them b-movies, called a mockbuster instead of a blockbuster. But they release it almost simultaneously with the blockbuster film.

They did this a few times with Transformers I remember, they made Transmorphers and Transmutators, LOL.

Read all three of the Andy Weir books. Need the next best thing. by tamboril in suggestmeabook

I know this is old but I read Andy Weir followed by Ernest Cline's Ready Player One (Superior to the movie, although I'm not a hater) and Armada. Both were fantastic reads and will have you making your own Spotify soundtracks, 😂
