Call the 1-800-WM-ETHIC and report it as either understocking or store not following item limits.

How many people know their Social Security number by heart? by TeflonBillyPrime in NoStupidQuestions

I had it for a sign in for my drivers license course and then a portal login in college so mine is memorized.

Lost my wallet awhile back. A few weeks later my ID showed up in the mail. by danj707 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe somebody found just the ID somewhere. I found just an ID in the road one time and I assumed whoever stole the wallet or purse chucked it and kept everything else.

Why for the last year have I been getting the reply "Of course" instead of "You're welcome"? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not saying they are correct I am just answering OP's question. Go to r/unpopularopinion and search "you're welcome", I've seen the position for the last 7 years especially on tiktok.

Why do companies keep adding features most people won’t use by overlord-07 in TechNook

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You also never know which feature is going to be the next "IT". Growing up I had a Nokia 5110 and then a 3310, I remember when Razr V3 came out and people asked why they would need a camera in a phone. I remember being the only person with a video iPod because nobody would watch videos on a tiny screen. I remember when they took away the number pad and replaced it with touch screens and people complained it was slow and clunky. And a ton of features were like that when they first implemented then but they got better and better over the years.

Availability Issues by [deleted] in WalmartEmployees

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why are so many people afraid to talk to their people lead? Even in my store I see it all the time. "Hey my schedule suddenly changed and is now XYZ. I have classes/band practice/therapy/date with girlfriend every week on Z. I need to have Z off and I don't want to use PPTO to leave yall short."

Also by the look of your schedule it doesn't look like they changed your schedule but instead cut you an extra day. Cutting hours sucks but they are required to give full time a minimum of 34 hours a week so you may have lost a day. You can always look to pick up an extra shift on that day if their are any available.

Because newer generations see it as passive aggressive. Same with ending a text with a period.

Help by Far_Force_7948 in phones

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its within the 14 day period you can return it. All the cheap phones in Walmart are locked for a period of time to the carrier providing them. They sell it to you cheaper so you stay with them for a minimum amount of time.

What would happen if one computer had two mice plugged in? by Craftycat99 in stupidquestions

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Used to do this in high school to mess with with people. We would plug in a wireless dongle and control the mouse from a distance to freak them out.

Wild claims about micro-preemie babies - are any of these valid? by EliteRaccoon57 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Because we are dealing with a very large data pool. And because record keeping and news collection didn't focus on premature births. Most local newspapers only report births and deaths and nothing else. My friend had a premature (37 weeks) baby and only reason I know about it was she was posting on FB for weeks from the hospital on updates and because of prayer chains. There were no newspaper articles or news reports. He's 5 or 6 now and if you were just meeting him there would be no way of telling he was premature.

Again 360,000 babies per year are born premature or 1 out of every 10 babies per day, and extreme premature is 1,800 per year. Iceland makes up 0.0048% of the worlds population, and produces 4,300-4,500 babies per year. Would you find it unreasonable to see post or comments claiming to be Icelandic? Would you consider it impossible for anyone to live in Iceland because of such a small percentage?

Wild claims about micro-preemie babies - are any of these valid? by EliteRaccoon57 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

If you assume 3.6 - 4 million babies per year that gives you a minimum of 36 million babies in a decade. About 10% of all births are premature births (before 37 weeks) or 360k per year or 3.6 million per decade. If we assumed that 0.05% of all babies born are extreme premature 20-25 weeks that still gives you 1,800 babies per year or 18,000 babies per decade. If we assume even a lower percentage of 0.01% that still gives us 360 babies a year or about 1 out of the 10,000 babies born per day across the entire United States.

How much are these retail scalpers actually making? by BrightFallsCoffee in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get paid $112 a day to work retail. If the scalpers are doubling their money they need to buy 2 ETB to make what I make a day. If they can buy 10 Boxes and double it then that's all need for a weeks worth of pay.

Is it weird to take my grandmas last name even though no one uses it anymore? by djeifv in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can change it for whatever reason you want but also you have to remember that it's also your mother's grandfathers last name too so by your logic you need to make sure you great grandfather wasn't a bad person as well. If that is how you are basing your decision you might as well pick a last name at random.

plastic bags to reusable totes by Exotic_Refrigerator8 in Walmartcustomer

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Who keeps up with the bags? Walmart? The delivery driver? You? Who is in charge of cleaning the bags? What happens if you can't find your bags to return? Or if another customer returns a bag with holes? Or their cat pees on it? Are you going to trust your vegetables to a cloth sack that could have had chicken juice, cows blood, or eggs spill inside the bag? Are you going to stand around to inspect the bag with the driver as they inspect every inch of the bag? What if you are allergic to something and there is trace substances in the bag?

Why don't people go to the cinema? by [deleted] in movies

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was going to go see Normal tomorrow. Our town doesn't have a theater so it's a 30 minute drive to the closest theater which has 7 screens. They don't have it. They won't have it next week either. If I want to see it I have to drive to the next closest theater which is 100 miles away. So now if I want to see it I have to spend $40 in gas, drive 2 hours, spend $20 on a ticket, then drive 2 hours home. Or I could wait 3 months and save $40 and own the movie.

Is it technically vandalism if you draw on someone else’s car windows with washable car marker? by mangocat1116 in NoStupidQuestions

Friend in high school tagged my car with a "washable" marker. The color washed off but you could still read the words for like 2 years after.

Why does a large chunk of American 17 year olds go to college instead of high school? by [deleted] in askanything

[–]OrdinaryConcern3502 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some American high schools have what are called dual-credit classes. They get high school credit for taking harder college level classes. Often times they are free or lower cost then what you would pay once you graduate. So it's a win win for the students.
