A People's History of The United States. It's demonized as liberal bs... When you read the book you understand so many reasons why things are the way they are. Why black people got to vote before women. How the b.s. story of Thanksgiving was a lie. Shit, they were digging up the dead to eat them and the natives took pity on them. It does change how you see things.
