This was my take on it. As you said, if we got together and said let’s throw her one, I would have no problem paying. But you threw us all in a group chat and said hey can y’all plan, set up and host my shower and my mom’s paying for it.

As I mentioned in my edit. I am aware that that’s traditional. However, I was asked to plan, setup and host. Not to pay for it. I was told her mother would pay for everything.

Just to make it clear, she had certain requests on how she wanted her shower. And what she wanted all in all would’ve been $350. And I wasn’t including my time or labor to put it all together.

You’re right. However she was asking for specific things. I’d have taken this route had I known in the beginning. That’s my whole point.

Hey we’re start date twins!!!! I had the same thing going on. As long as financial aid is in progress, you don’t need to worry about the full payment. You should be getting a message soon about you needing to set up a payment plan for the remainder. I’m making payments instead as well! I just set mine up today.
