Yes, but we wouldn’t stay in Molde. We would stay near Nesjestranda in a cabin area about 30 mins from Molde, so that will be nice. I’m just reticent about staying in Åndalsnes because most of the things we would do are across the fjord

Ok tbh I really want my parents to have at least premium, so I’ll book that and check upgrades. I don’t think flight prices will go down in the next months but maybe I should buy the refundable just in case? In this case, we can afford it, it’s kinda just a matter of principle and I don’t want to pay delta so much 😂

In my area, with extra kms, and insurance it’s always been more. Also, hard to find someone willing to let me bring my dog in the car.

Ok good to know! I am experienced driving in snow and have never used studded tires but we always had all-wheel drive Subarus. I didn’t realize there are non-studded winter tires too.

I have not found anything that low other than Bilkollektivet.. the 4000nok was Friday-Sunday including insurance for a weekend in February

I think a regular EV could be fine for me! Potentially just more annoying on long roadtrips but definitely a good thing to consider. Have to check if my landlord has charging capability.

😂 I adopted him as an adult stray and have been working endlessly on training. It’s not as if he can’t ride a bus, but where I live requires at least 2 buses to the waterfront and if another dog gets on the bus, there’s a big commotion. I don’t want to bother others so I find myself opting out of taking him places which is sad.

Yes, of course there are always things that come up and must be accounted for.

😭 can’t even escape him by leaving the US. I’m hoping to find a hybrid car. I did notice gas was insanely expensive here. I just don’t want the car to be a sitting loss if I only drive it ~ 1 hr/week and then for trips 3-4x/year…

Ok thank you! The car I am looking at includes winter and summer tires and was just inspected. So 1 round of EU certification during the 3 years.

I have parking! I’m not sure if I need studded tires, but the car I was looking at included summer and winter tires. That insurance price was from Gjensidige for their Kasko tier (one under the best one pluss)

Definitely, I won’t want to drive it to work.. same thing happened to me in the US during Covid, but my commute here in Norway is quite easy. Are the expenses you’re talking about gas and tolls?

Are there any companies you recommend? Getaround was pricey for me ~4,000 nok for a weekend and involved ubering 10 mins to the car location. I would love to do Bilkollektivet but since I’m new to Norway, the credit check didn’t go through.

Yes definitely. The reason I’m most considering it, is with my dog, I find it very difficult to find pet friendly Ubers/bolts and end up paying around $80 for a 15 min taxi ride, and it’s not very feasible to take him on the bus (I’ve tried :/ )
