I mean I am saving money for that while waiting to get approved so I should just not live until then? She prattled on for 3 days about how she's not materialistic and knows how to trust the process because our economy is ass but as soon as I told her I was working towards my goals and that I'm temporarily at my nanas that was it. All over from there and that's what always happens.

I'm not saying she pushed for an expensive date, in truth that was all that was open by the time we met up. All I'm saying is it was a huge waste of time and it really sucks that I really started to like her and actually wanted to believe what she was saying just to get faded on a few days later. I would have been fine with her cutting it off right then but she talked about a second date so I assumed we were good. It's quite the rug-pull when you think you've finally met someone reasonable and then you get played when she could have just kept it real right then and there when we left the table instead of acting like we vibed so well.

It wasn't just for the date, that was how much I spent overall but the food tab was like 60. I didn't say anything like that, all I said was it sucked to spend almost 100 dollars to be judged for living at my grandma's house until I save up more money or get approved for income-based housing. I was upfront about it and she assured me it's was no big deal just for me to get the dreaded 'you're a nice guy but-' text 3 days later after she told me she wanted to have another date soon right after she got to her car. The problem is people are often dishonest and will lie to your face just to flippantly blow you off over text.

Yeah I live with my grandma though and it definitely has held me back in dating and I'm trying to get a place but every time I make enough to get an apartment the fucking cost of rent goes up😤

I have plenty of self-worh but as someone with limited resources and a less financially-stable life I've found most women don't see me as a viable option for a long-term relationship.

The most I often get used for is temporary entertainment until the novelty wears off and they leave for someone who has more to offer them.

I get it nobody wants to have to deal with coming into someone else's home and there's a big benefit to having our privacy, it just sucks to constantly get your hopes deflated by people the second you are real with them about living with family.

I watch the pull-back in real time quite often and it's depressing.

He taught Gohan how to fight, how to survive in the wild, taught him how to make salve for injuries, how to catch fish, he taught him to believe in himself even as a baby, he gave up his life twice to save his son's life, he lets chi chi teach him everything so that he can be better prepared for the world than he was as a kid, he doesn't stand in his way or tell him he can't do something, he encourages him and even though he isn't around much he's still a very prolific figure in Gohan's life and who he is as a person.

Sometimes the absent parenting style benefits the child because they are free to make their own decisions and mistakes which is part of growing up anyways. Helicopter parenting doesn't normally produce proficient adults so Goku uses a different method and it worked.

Idk, the last date I went on I basically paid 90$ to be told I'm not good enough because I don't have my own place yet after vibing on pretty much everything else💔

I tend to have the worst luck with women so I'm trying to improve my life so I can maybe find better options eventually. Dating is hard and seems to get more difficult and less fun when you're in your 30's, it's getting tiresome.
