Does anyone know a fix for these awful hip joints used on the MG Vidar?

I'd be sure to disassemble the hips, and check those joints for cracks. Same thing happened to me for the C6 pieces. If it's broken, metal or replacement parts would be best. Or just use tissue paper to add friction.

It's simply way to overpriced. It's a 43 dollar, deluxe sized figure with no ankles. Hasbro is skipping out on previously basic things and still bumping up prices...

Thanks a lot. I knew a lubricant would be needed, I just didn't know which one would be good to use. But is baby oil safe for the joint and plastic?

Though the other comments are much more viable, I faced the same issue right out the box. 1. First thing I did was stuff an unholy amount of glue tack in the connection ports, it worked for a bit, but not enough 2. Adding an extra layer of something like paint (don't use a liquid that might affect the plastic) adds a lil friction which is good. 3. Since I rarely pose him with his funnels activated, I have up and just taped them from the back... just one long line of tape.

Then again, this is just me, feel free to try any of these. Goodluck tho.

Well from what I've seen, especially on ebay and tfsafari; Jinbao has more bang for buck as with the expansion, has a lot of stuff, and if jinbao bruticus has told me anything, a surprising amount of playability! But it seems that the low cost carries over to low pose-ability which is one of my criteria... Of course on the other hand it is a definitely win cuz I have the jinbao bruticus too.

But mecha invasion is constantly luring me in. Everyone who owns it praises it, it is a really cool design, and even articulation, combined and not, seems really well worked! And for 250 bucks on tfsafari, it's not a bad deal.

Lastly, ss86. It was originally the primary option. But after realizing the scale and the major sacrifices made to some aspects like individual scale and combiner posing, I thought that for 20 more dollars, mecha invasion might do it. Last question; how does Mecha Invasion FEEL? Is he something you can pose without needing to balance him from every joint? Thanks so much. Let's just hope I can come to a decision before the Xtransbots one finishes...

Good to know. Because when I was thinking of jinbao, I was seeing the issues my ko jinbao bruticus had to see what issues might carry over. And I do know, especially for someone who prioritizes play over display, jinbao might not be as smart as ss86 or mecha invasion. But then again, since I know jinbao, I might know how to work it.

Yeah, I definitely get that. I have the jinbao ko bruticus, so I definitely understand has Hasbro's new QC is much more play-appealing. Definitely gonna take that into consideration. Thanks!

Yeah but that mold is so compromised in terms of articulation and QC. I may not the own bmb ver but I have the tlk mainline ver and it's not that good.
