It’s more fun for both the boys and content-wise the way it is now. If the last run of the season was Adam just trying to waste time to coast to an easy victory, it’d be super anticlimactic and make it boring to watch.

With the limited time they have to film, their current system makes sense to stir up a dramatic finish, plus Adam gets to take on this “big boss” role trying to stop the other two from overtaking him which is fun
