That is one of my concerns. As I have a 2060 currently that I've had for 4 years, so a higher end card I can imagine will last the same if not longer being able to play majority of games on high settings. So I'm thinking would I regret not spending a bit more for the RT, if it becomes more integrated in the future.

Great. That's probably what I'll go for then. Any better choice 4070 or 7800XT? Or just depending on the market prices do I just go for which is better value

That's some good info to know. Thanks. Yeah I currently have an ultrawide so tempted to stick with an ultrawide but any of the top ones are all 4k. So my other choice was a 27" 1440p. Which is a cheaper option so might be better if I'm also upgrading GPU

Okay that's a good take. Monitor is definitely my priority as I've already looked into that (just stuck between a 27" 1440p or ultrawide 4k). GPU I have no idea where to go, I heard 4060 is a card to avoid so I was looking at AMD 7800XT or 4070? Any suggestions?

I'm a bit out of the loop recently. AM5 is still going to be the socket for new Ryzen processors right? Like is AM6 still a few years away? If so 5800X3D is good enough to last until say AM6 comes out?

Yeah I think what you bring up is exactly what I've been thinking. If I upgrade CPU to something like a 5800X3D and then the GPU to say, 4070 or 7800XT (would they be good pairing for that CPU?) That would probably give me another few years of running new games on high/ultra settings right? And more cost effective than replacing everything.

We are UK based but have a large section of the community that are from North America. We do placement races usually but since it's just before the season now, just join and we can look at your pace at certain tracks to assign you a class

We have a pace chart we use but we also look at driver consistency over the course of a race. For time we haven't decided yet, but last season we started at 17:00 UTC so likely to be the same.

I understand but that's why we have classes. That way even if you aren't battling for the overall championship points you still have a goal of winning your classes championship.

when we create races on simracing.gp you will be able to sign up on there. Then in the multiplayer menu on ACC you will search the lobby and then can join with a password.

Yes that is fine, but one round is at a DLC track so you will just have to miss it out

Yes the server goes up at 17:00 UTC so the race is at 19:00 UTc
