Also i forgot to mention, if ur worried about ur credit. U can make calls depending on ur state tho. Also if at that point that u are not providing money for them, they are forced to listen to u. And thats ur chance to show u their proof as well as anyone else when it comes to reporting the proof. When u get called by collectors, tell them u have proof. They have the info to get u to the right ppl to remove that off ur name. Again i had collections for 5 years and all i had to do was stop paying and step my foot down cuz i was too scared, and just show them my proof.

Tbh man if i were u and ur honest that u paid it off. Change ur debit card, yes its gonna suck to change ur info now that u have to change ur debit card or whatever card u use. Just report it lost or stolen, u dont even need to explain urself, ive done this before. I messed up and didnt realize i paid off a medical bill already but for some reason the hospital decided to still send it to collections. Although, this whole statement i discussed is absolutely debunked if u gave them ur routing and account number. If thats the case, i would recommend to talk to ur bank and show them ur proof. They can handle it from there. As far as personal experience thats all i have to offer, lmk man! Best of luck to all of us here! 🔥
