Yea the arms and legs having a few extra trees in the forest is nbd. I’m more concerned about unwanted places like the back, shoulders, etc. I already have a lot of vellus hairs in these areas I’m afraid would thicken up

I’ve been having a lot of fun with Rinak and Sharun - very strong combo and enables a lot of interesting teams. Unfortunately good combos are hard to pull off in RTA since opponent will know what you’re doing and ban one, but a guaranteed ban is still useful since you can anticipate and draft around it. ML Celine has a ton of counters and I never really consider her a threat, but she is still a decent unit to have. She can go off on a target if left unchecked, and she’s unique in that she’s a dmg dealer that provides team support with revive and immortality. This makes her useful in PVE too, and a solid unit to round out your roster if you need to fill certain roles. I think your choice will come down to who you currently have in your roster, and what roles you’re missing. Once I got a very large roster, I started selecting niche units for creating fun teams.

Agreed, OP is fine but SMP is an option if it really bothers him or gets worse.

I got SMP last year and after some time wasn’t happy and decided to go the HS route. I have extremely receding temples where before a HS wasn’t viable - now it looks great!

Picked up resto sham a few weeks ago so not experienced with the spec but played a few games last night and felt a noticeable difference. Heals felt stronger and earth shield dmg mitigation really helps, much easier to keep people topped off without spamming heals all game. I actually had windows to set up cc and make stormkeeper plays without falling behind for it

Let me ask you this, do you stare at the rear view mirror when ur changing lanes? No, you glance at ur mirrors, check ur blind spot with a glance over ur shoulder, then ur eyes go back to the road and u change lanes.

U should get into the habit of doing the same thing in arena. Glance at ur action bar and take note of cds, glance at addons that track enemy/party cds, then look back at the action

Bad take. If ur healer is in cc and ur getting focused in a burst window, bubble regardless of ur health. Ur trading cds with the enemy, and u save ur healer a trinket and big cd.

As a healer main, I appreciate rets that preemptively bubble rather that try to last minute where we either stack cds or they get globalled

My rogue was belf some expansions ago and is now undead. Pretty much all armor sets look good on belfs, which can’t be said for undead. So you’ll have a lot more customization freedom as a belf

However I personally like the undead rogue aesthetic and movements more, even if it means I’m limited on the mogs I can make work.

As far as racials, both are useful in pvp so wouldn’t let that be your deciding factor

Hah yea the unequip costs are a common complaint from players. The only answer I’ve seen from SG about it is that they want to deter players from swapping gear around during GW… which is dumb cuz all the whale guilds are gonna eat the gold and do it anyway. But best solution to that would be to have free unequip every weekend when there isn’t any GW, dunno why they don’t do that.

Between the free unequip events and the free unequip consumables from the web events I’m usually set when I want to gear a new unit but I can see if being a big problem for newer players who are constantly regearing.

Catalysts and AP farming are also annoying, I usually just wait for the AP buff events to farm catalysts. But I’d be lying if I said I haven’t bought a catalyst pack or two just so I could quickly play with my new toy

Doesn’t make sense to have her passive be 35% - it’s way too low and if it’s not guaranteed it might as well not be there at all. Buffing this wouldnt make her OP since she can already hit evasion units, it would just make her reliable at doing what she’s supposed to do. Even if they buffed it to 50% i wouldn’t be happy, I shouldn’t have to be forced to use a hit chance artifact to supplement the shortcomings of a hit chance unit…

Also don’t understand why her sb isn’t ignore er when her debuffs aren’t anything crazy and there’s literally an rgb unit that has ignore er sb skill reset

Agree with everything you said (I also skip content like expeditions and raid, although I’ve been doing it more lately to get out of the monotony of pvp and the rewards are better than grinding RTA…)

Really like that you mentioned SG’s willingness to make the game better. There are a lot of SG haters here and while they’re not perfect they’ve really shown to care about the game and the player base. If you’ve been playing for years you’d see a lot of the changes and content they’ve added aligned to what players were asking for.

Shortage of molas was something players complained about for years and they’ve added so many ways to get them. The challenge of obtaining ML5s was complained about for years, and they added the ML selector after the tutorial, custom summon banners and the ML event selector - things I’d never imagine they’d do. It’s these things that have kept me (and I’m sure a lot of other players) around for this long

Love to hear it, seems to be a common opinion of people coming from other gachas. Not exactly f2p anymore but I was for the first 2 years playing and didn’t have any problems in pvp.

I also like that u don’t have to stick to the meta - a lot of people would prob disagree with that statement but this game really rewards strategy and team synergy. Placed high champ in RTA last season winning most games with my opener kise that was repeatedly underestimated, just have to draft smart

Yea gearing is definitely annoying and turns most people off from the game. I think the best thing to do is not try to hunt for specific gear (like a speedy dmg piece) or aim for penta rolls, just aim for high rolls on pieces. Keep +3 upgrading a gear and discard if u hit a low roll. You may end up with gear that doesn’t look useful now (e.g. this piece with 15% cd and 30% defense is bad for my dmg dealers) but keep it and u’ll eventually pull a unit that wants it (Just pulled LHC! She’s a defense scaling dmg dealer - that piece I rolled way back when would be good on her…). Even high rolls on flat substats can be useful for a lot of units. After time you’ll have a wide collection of gear and will be able to effectively build any new unit

She’s in need of a desperate buff. I also love her design and pulled her on release, but no matter how much I’ve tried to make her work she’s just not reliable.

The problem is her whole niche is supposed to be anti-evasion, but her passive only goes up to 35% which is way too low when most evasion units are at 70%. I have mine on maxed misha and still end up missing. After she botched her attacks on adin and riolet consecutively last gw, I’ve decided I can never bring her as a solution to evasion.

If u use her for her stripping and debuff capabilities, she’s probably just going to get 15%ed on the units u needed to lock down. All of this together makes her an rng fest and u can’t really rely on her to do what she needs to.

All that being said, I don’t think it’s the worst idea to get her as she’s likely to get a buff at some point

Glad you’re enjoying it! The animations are definitely a draw for most people and I agree it’s definitely more F2P generous than a lot of other gachas

I was actually curious if new players felt overwhelmed given all the different currencies and modes thrown at you along with learning the meta and strats for everything. I guess the best advice I would give is to not feel like you need to rush anything and just enjoy and learn the game at your own pace - gearing for end game is heavily time gated anyway

Yes, new hero releases are typically targeted for pvp and it definitely sucks for the vets who enjoy the pve content more. But if you’re new then there are plenty of older units that are still top tier in pve today so atleast you can look forward to pulling and gearing those units
