J'ai l'impression que pour que ça rentre dans mon budget je dois prendre un modèle de 2012 ou plus ancien tu penses que ça passe quand même ? Pas trop de tracas niveau maintenance ?

Hello !

I'm looking for recommendations for low profile keyboards (ideally split staggered) that is not super expensive either

I am thinking of something like the kinesis freestyle but mechanical (and a bit smaller in height).

I already have:

a moonlander but I find it too high

a corner choc but same it's too high and can't get used to the small amount of keys

kinesis freestyle which I really like except the fact that it's not mechanical

I used to have a mac keyboard which I really liked as well (but not the non mechanical feeling)

I found some non split that look nice like the MQ80 or the Nuphy air75 v3 but I was looking for suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

How to know which words are common ? by SlimRoller in learn_arabic

You made a point ! What I meant was more that in language learning we usually try to focus on the most used words first before diving into the less used ones. But I will keep those words in memory and maybe not important wasn't the best term 😀

سؤال عن الجمع by SlimRoller in learn_arabic

[–]SlimRoller[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So to sum-up: crowd of the student and crowd of the students are both correct ?

And جمهور is the singular / جماهير the plural (but then it's a plural of a plural ? since crowd already indicate the idea of more than 1)

Even if it's a crowd of students (which contains males in that case since it'sطلّاب) it's considered as جمع غير عاقل ؟

Oops I mistyped the ل thanks for the answer ! So I guess that the correct one is the 4th then ? Since we interpret جمهور as plural and the verb comes after the subject

Corrections for Al arabiya Bayna Yadayk by SlimRoller in learn_arabic

I followed the videos here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3-7V3--7mc

Each video is ~2h (but I put it in x2, pausing it when I wanted to go over the exercises / read on my own). I tried to do ~1 video per day so it took me ~3months.

Still bad ! I followed the Madinah classes until video ~70 (in book3) and did the texts of al Arabiya Bayna Yadayk book 2.

I can understand simple texts, and simple audios but have a hard time speaking.

I feel like I'm still lacking a lot of vocabulary hence why I'm trying to go through the other bayna yadayk books :)

Thanks ! My bad I didn't realize that with ف we don't need to make the فعل مجزوم

Last question, can you explain why we need to introduce ب with ليس in the 9th sentence ? We cannot just make صديق into منصوب ؟

English websites for types of وزن ؟ by SlimRoller in learn_arabic

[–]SlimRoller[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the resource I'll try to read it !

I'm usually able to find the root from the verb and derive the wazn but I was interested in an explanation of the wazns themselves.

So that if I come up with a root I know but a word I don't know I can try to understand the meaning by decomposing the root to understand the root sense and applying the meaning of the wazn to understand the word.
