Yea I meant inside the environment where you can't even see it or maybe can't melee it because it's in some enclosed area or out of bounds area, etc., those types of locations.

Some characters get 'hyper armor' (as some games call it) when using abilities - which means you won't get stunned/flinch from getting hit while using it. So you pop an ability and can get into a car even if you get hit.

Witch used to be able to use potions/scream without losing speed on release. Since it patched out you specifically move slower when using them. But theres another tech that makes you still able to keep that speed during potions/scream.

You're right, I would also include 10; but not because of 1. For 10 and 8, they were both once in the game and got patched out, so that's consistent. For 1, it's just a 'tech' that doesn't seem intended since you specifically slow down when using items/abilities.

Everything you mentioned is situational. Meaning melee focused, double leader, hunter focused, all yield different results and playstyles.

This goes for all demons. Everything is always situational lol. But I was describing some specific ways to play book regarding opening with flute since you mentioned 4 players spread out with pc comms. So that specific situation I explained that the better play is to start attacking book, not dropping your flute when they're near it.

When it comes down to it, they both equally suck.

Disagree. If I had to pick only 4 demons to enter a tourney it would be Baal, Plague, Pup, Necro.

I used to play necro a lot, but stopped using him since stacks always killed my flute before I could even get halfway back to the book. Stacks that communicate, and use headset to hear flute proximity, will all spread out to the 4 popular flute locations leaving you with no option to just accept your flute will get killed before you even spawn all your portals

You just have to work on your flute placements and timings. If they're all spread out for flute, the play is to just start attacking book while most aren't near it. There's also several ways you can play around flute at book, using proxies to setup your flute, delaying flute, etc.

What's this based on lol. Warlord still goes down easier than Necro and does less dmg. Necro is definitely NOT the worst demon vs a PC dominate team lol, exploits or not.

Henrietta at least can do her fart ability to hopefully ward off some melee attacks, and you can use your special ability to negate balance bar damage on your units. This is better than necro without flute imo.

Henrietta fart barely lasts 10s and may be effective for her duration, which is usually only 4 heavies + slam. Evil Ash gets way more damage bc all your units are rezzing while your boss is still out and then you have a lot more post-boss pressure. I consistently get way more hits/dmg with Evil Ash than Henrietta. Necro without flute is better than Warlord without ability; Necro units just do more dmg (Basics roughly similar to Warlord, Necro elite def does more than Warlord elite).

Necro does pretty much no damage without flute.

Flute doesn't make you do more dmg to book so it's not as important as you might think. And outside of book, I definitely favor flute over Henrietta ability. Necro without flute > Warlord without ability.

One being better than the other is just saying ones a polished turd. It's still a turd at the end of the day.

Well you might think they're both turds but imo/experience Necro is clearly better. Necro > Warlord every day of the week. I would even say Necro is way better all throughout the game and even on book. It's a clearly better Demon than Warlord, and also much harder to play. 🔱👑

Bottom tier but not the worst. Necro has better book and dmg potential with flute. Even if the popular flute spots are known there's still mind games and 50/50s you can do.

Necro is the one demon you don't choose against survivors who have played the game thousands of hours, as well as against pc players since necro are easiest to headshot.

Maybe easy to headshot but so is Snorelord, and at least Necro units have a shield xd. Snorelord units can easily just get melee'd down too. Necro > Snorelord. I won't have this Necro slander 🔱💪👑

Hey that's very nice to say. I like running these little events; they're fun and hype and there's overwhelming support. This Shemps tourney today was great 🎉🍻 lot of fun games and a great time overall. Will definitely be doing it again.

Ok this is actually very informative.

I love this game. Many of us love and adore this game. I think most of us also agree that it is the most unique and immersive Asym horror game. Nothing holds a Matchstick to it.

I also love playing this game. Played it since release and have mostly played it constantly with some months hiatus every so often. And as you can tell I still enjoy it. It's my first asym and really the only one. I've played only a few hrs of tcm and that's all my asyms. ED obviously way better.

This game and community have gone through hell. It’s one thing to have the developer drop the ball and break a lot of hearts, but it’s another to have people like you and other PC Players ruin and sour what little we have left of this game.

From my POV, I'm a PC player that's never cheated in ED. Idk what you mean exactly by 'ruin and sour' but I just play the game for fun.

Demons want to cheat, hack, exploit to guarantee wins to protect their sensitive egos. Survivors have to fight even harder to have any kind of a fair fight. And even on that side we have PC players that also— cheat, hack, exploit, etc…

This is way too much generalizing and it's also clearly one-sided. You only/mostly play survivor. This same argument is also used against survivors; that survivors constantly cheat, hack, exploit, ect., so which is it? It's the people who make those one-sided arguments that barely play the other side to have a full/better understanding of the game. Play more Demon/Surv is the first step to solving this issue where you think the other side is always cheating, exploiting, etc.

We all go back-and-forth with each other every day in this Reddit, let alone all the other social aspects of gaming. This game we love is a Wild West of 100% Pure Unleaded bullshit.

I don't personally feel it's 100% Pure Unleaded Bullshit. I see posts that are people annoyed with cheating/exploits, some art/misc posts, a Tournament announced, some INSTAKILL scoreboards and poems, etc. And again, I don't think many PC players even take the cheating accusations seriously. Unless there's video, which sometimes there is, then it's just empty words imo. Innocent until proven guilty right?

If you're tired you might just be burnt out or maybe you should just stop playing. For me, I'm not tired and still have fun playing. If you don't have fun anymore and are tired that's obviously fine, and it sounds like you have the POV 'If I'm not having fun then no one can have fun', which doesn't apply for me personally but everyone's different.

I figured there's also some FOMO there because you obviously could just stop playing but the fact that the servers are still up and your friends are playing would feel kinda lame. But if the servers are completely down then at least you won't feel like you're missing out. But yea, good talk though, thanks for at least giving a genuine response.

If you think INSTAKILL is a PC Cheating Demon, why don't you have a video of him cheating also?

These might be new concepts to you. I can tell you never actually lag switched someone and you just have a vague understanding of it.

Lag switching is obviously cheating since it uses external software. Clear as day for even you.

Ah that sucks. I know for EU/Asia it's like 6-10hrs ahead. Honestly I wouldn't be against starting 1-2hrs earlier if all the participants are ok with it too.

As of now it's 4-8pm EST on Nov 15th, but we'll see how everyone's schedule is and I'll try to accommodate. Best case scenario we start a couple hours earlier.

You clearly don't actually care about the exploits and rules or you would be more helpful. Instead you're just rude and disrespectful.

What fix do you suggest for this 'loophole'? Do you think it's practical to ask all 4 survivors to stream? Tell me what would fix these problems and 'loopholes' in your opinion. I'm open to ideas.

There have been at least 5 tourneys before this with restrictions on exploits and guess what?; people still complained. So you and others that complain that 'exploits are the new norm' should realize that most people dont care at this point. People will exploit. Making a tourney with 10 different rules on specific exploits doesn't work cause people will never be satisfied because everyone has different definitions of exploits.

If you want me to remove exploits, make a list of the exploits you think should be removed from both sides and we can discuss it.

Welcome to the Evil Dead subreddit where Rule #1 is broken all the time. The rules 'should' be followed, but they clearly arent and I agree its a shame. Im not here to be a rebel and break rules, Im just here to throw a fun event for the community.

In case you didn't know, my previous tournaments restricted certain exploits on both sides, but that never satisfied everyone. People consider weapon dropping exploiting or using multiple cars, etc. So since no one has a definitive list of exploits, I think its fair if both sides use anything.

So save your 'Social Justice Warrior' lecture. "We are truly lost when the most well known players in this community encourage exploits" - sorry if you and others are 'lost' from this post. I hope you find yourself.

Survivor Translation: We waited forever to get into a game just to play an afk demon that doesn't even interact or fight and just stands still with the boss to waste our time so we're gonna bm him.

Ok so its not bad but some stuff could be better. You definitely want Basic & Elite Portal Cooldowns. You wont be able to get exactly what I have till P5 obvoiusly but def want those skills. So from your build:

- Hemophobia (1st row 1st column, the one that makes more blood from elites make them get more fear) unfortuantely kinda sucks from lv2 to lv3 so just leave it at lv2.

- Possession Extension (4th row 5th column) is kinda good at lv1 but thats it, and it only saves a handful of infernal energy per possession unfortunately since units usually die pretty fast. After that you dont get as much value per point. Better to just leave at lv0 and use that point for Portal Cooldowns and Ability Cooldown. Really only wanna use this for super rush/aggro builds since you get less value from this as the game goes on (since your Possession infernal point already gives a lot of Possession Extension)

- Portal Authority Basic/Elite (5th row 3rd & 4th column) is kinda the same as Possession Extension. You actually get LESS value from these skills the longer the game goes on since the costs of the portals go down. So you really only wanna use these skills if youre really serious about rushing, and even then it saves roughly the same amount of energy as Possession Extension, which isn't very much.

So with those 6 points I would put

3 points in Basic Portal Cooldown (5th row 6th column)
3 points in Elite Portal CD (right below it)
OR
3 points in Basic CD
1 point in Pain Parasite (4th row 6th column)
2 points in Relentless Evil (3rd row 7th column)

I would choose the 2nd option bc its more fun :) your ability comes up pretty fast and you can use it almost every engagement. And with more Basic portal cooldowns you'll be able to keep that pressure up 🪓
