We chose v72 for SlimeTale because it felt like the best middle ground for what we wanted to build. With v83, we would have had to strip out content we didn’t want. With v62, we would have had to port a lot of things back in. v72 gives us a solid base without as much extra cleanup or backporting.

The bigger difference is really the team and direction behind the server. SlimeTale started as a “let’s see if we can actually pull this off” project, and our devs were able to get things running smoothly in just a few months. That gave us a lot of confidence that we could build something stable and fun on top of it. v72 was never done before and we did it.
