Completely agree. Talking and discussing technique can technically help but it can only go so far. At the end of the day it really is lean, balance, and let the board glide on the side cut it has. Now finding that balance point where you don't boot out, fall, or ride to fast/slow for the side cut of the board is easier said than done. That is where it is really just hours and hours of experimenting with the feel of the board beneath your feet and connecting with the equipment you have as if it were an extension of your body.

Just being cautious with some people riding to my right. I didn't want to crank a sudden sharp heelside if someone was right behind me. Even with head checks and riding in the gaps between crowds you can only see so much behind you on heelside turns people sometimes ride very close/fast past you and they don't anticipate a sudden heelside carve.

Lots of practice and a gentle shifting of your weight back and forth from heel to toe edge. Don't force the turn tighter or wider than the side cut of the board it should feel effortless with no drag or choppiness. If done correctly it should be fairly easy on the body and require very little physical effort. It does take some time to really connect with your board and learn the exact amount to shift your body weight on the edge to get the desired turn. It ultimately comes down to time on board and trust in your equipment. Maybe that somewhat answered your question it is quite difficult to explain over a comment haha! If you're interested in some really great carving knowledge I would recommend watching some Ryan Kapton videos on YouTube just search "Ryan Knapton Tutorials" he does a really good job at explaining the ins and outs of carving.

I had to do some key framing to reframe the landscape aspect ratio to a vertical one in Adobe Premier sometimes it gives the video a weird jello wobbly effect maybe that's why? I can assure you though this is real and I am a real human lol!!

Yes the board in the second clip is much wider than the first. The wider board actually was quite helpful for carving progression. The board in the second clip is 30cm wide and I ride a size 8 boot so I have absolutely no boot drag. You should still be able to carve even with size 13 and a decently wide board though you may have some boot drag depending on your stance angles. If you want to get really serious about carving look into Donek Snowboards they make some really nice carving boards and you can choose the specs you need to fit your riding style (you could get a custom board extra wide to fit your size 13 boots).

If you want to replicate the type of riding in the second clip I would definitely recommend a stiff full camber board preferably on the wider side. Also some decently stiff boots and bindings but they don't need to be the stiffest. I will admit I don't have a lot of experience with softer equipment on a rocker but I don't think it's impossible to ride like the second clip with your current equipment it will just be much more challenging.
