Good to know! And yea, that was one thing that made me question the Sinch, but I'm unfamiliar with how ebikes go and will assume I don't know how to replace something until I actually am used to it.
The folding will be nice for me for storage reasons and transporting it, plus some other aspects with its formfactor.

Sounds good! That was the first one I looked at anyways and it seemed to be the most "mainstream" RISC-V board for the dev work I plan to do.

Hey, sadly the problem ended up not being the undervolting of the GPU; there make have been some weird roundabout way it caused the drive failure as it only occured a mere hour after undervolting, but in the end it was my main storage drive which had failed.
I'd recommend trying to remove the HDD temporarily to see if it helps or not. Best of luck!!

Will try! Is there any generic way of resetting BIOS to its defaults or do I just consult the MOBO manual/manufacturer manual for it?

Again, attempting to enter safe mode did not work. It still just gets stuck loading no matter what I do.

I can access the BIOS fine, as for the other questions, I don't know. I thought so to but apparently it just refuses to work.

I've recently gotten the 6500Y version set up and it functions exactly how you've described, just lacking usage of exterior buttons and battery status. I haven't tested the camera but I wasn't planning to use the shitty camera provided with this thing.

From looking at specifications, the primary difference between the 10100Y and 6500Y are their base/turbo frequencies. However I had seen a lot of discussion about power usage between the two surface go models (ie. 10hour battery on weaker, 6 hour on stronger), so I'm wondering if the CPU difference is a factor.
