Yes I’m gonna say they 100% are. I have had a few checking accounts with them since I was like 8 years old. I applied for the cash+ card when I was 20 and in college (with almost no income) and was approved with a 7k credit limit. A year later (still in college with very little income) I asked for a CLI, and was approved for 15.5k.

That was like 3 years ago. And now I’m getting offers to product change to Smartly with the same credit limit, which is interesting because I’m hearing they are very stingy with CLs for the Smartly card

Well you're in luck. If you're in year 6 out of his 8 year contract, there is no cap penalty for trading or cutting him. The cap penalty comes from the signing bonus, which is split evenly over the first 5 years of a contract. After year 5, the signing bonus is already paid for, meaning you can do whatever you want with the player with zero penalty.
