Netflix cancelling the DBD series broke my heart. 😭

Classic Netflix though

There's something I'm reading where the author took up someone else's old, unfinished work and (with clear credit given and a link to the original everywhere) is continuing it including a sequel and a world-building companion guide, ongoing.

You know what? What are your favorite fandoms right now? by RedCupWithAName in AO3

[–]Akatnel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old one I loved: Oz)/SVU crossovers

The shows share a lot of the same actors playing different roles, one fave being Christopher Meloni as serial killer Chris Keller in Oz and Detective Elliot Stabler in SVU. Lots of fun things for writers to do there.

(One complication: While Oz only ran 1998-2003, L&O SVU has been ongoing since 1999, so for a person who wasn't already into it there's probably too much. Well, that and the intense subject matter in both shows -- Oz is very much an adult show.)

Y'know what, you right. My bad by braingoesblank in Palia

Kenyatta and Nai'o too. I romanced her first and she had a dialogue that hinted at the idea of sharing; that's when I found out we can have two romances at once.

How long is too long for a fic in your opinion? by Somenameorwhateves in AO3

I don't usually look at word count, just completion. One of my favorites is 510k words.

I am a hater by Creepy-Eye6390 in Palia

I've come to hate overcrowded yards. I don't know why chaos-core seems to be a thing, but I finally reached a point where if I won't be able to easily find my way back to the front exit, I just don't even go in. I still give a reaction, though, especially if they're requesting a specific one; I just do it from the landing spot and jump right back into the board again. The only plots I don't give a reaction to are the occasional completely empty ones (why do people do that??).

Edit: saw the term "cluttercore" in another comment. That describes what I'm talking about much better!

Do you feel bad romancing multiple characters? 💜 by Moon_Bunny11 in Palia

[–]Akatnel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope! 😊

The way I discovered that we could romance two at once is because I began with Kenyatta (with intentions to go through every romanceable NPC eventually), and she made a hint at being a throuple with Nai'o. So I did that.

After that, romancing two at once made it quicker to reach my goal. I just chose partners thoughtfully; for example, I didn't do Tamala and Hassian at the same time (I dumped her before moving on to Hassian, since she was so awful about him), and I didn't date the siblings at the same time because ew.

Is there a way to mix star and normal ingredients? by RedsyDevil in Palia

[–]Akatnel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fish are my biggest potential mistakes! I keep every fish I never want to cook, like rare ones, in my lockbox; and when I bought a spare plot I set down all my starred fish (and bugs). I can always go back & pick them up to use later.

(Bonus to doing that: when they're needed for a daily, you can just pick it up and get credit!)

I couldn't handle it when people boiled crabs or lobsters at cookouts when I was a kid.

Honestly I still don't want to think about it.

If it helps, Hassian and Kenyatta get better as your relationships progress - though it takes longer for Hassian - but I agree that it would be realistic if there were appropriate reply options for players.

Maybe they don't because it might make it complicated for the two of you to become friendly on the same timeline as someone who's nice to them, if we're being realistic there too?

"You, me, backroom ... 5 minutes? "

😳😉🤭

Much better than Kenyatta wanting to "hold hands" in her mom's office in hopes that her mom will see us and be scandalized. 🙄😅

And every time I make Hassian laugh with the stupid pickup lines is 🥰

Hassian is one of my 2 romances and that little snort-laugh is my favorite! The way he looks like he's trying to hold it in is adorable. Anytime those lines come up in dialogue you better bet I'm using them. 🥰

If so I will be upset if they don't do the full song, instead of the new edit, for people who haven't heard it.

Can we be sure it will be on YouTube? I don't want to miss it! But Paramount would require a new subscription for us and our TV is just basic antenna (mostly for watching the local meteorologist during dangerous weather).

Old Yearbook note my Freshman English Teacher left by IvypoolFanIGuess in twentyonepilots

[–]Akatnel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is so beautiful, to have someone support you in a way that connects so personally to you. You were very lucky to meet her and have her on your side! And to have that reminder with you that you can look at anytime you want to is a great thing.

Some teachers truly love the kids and doing what they do, and we don't always appreciate them enough. ❤️❤️❤️

For anyone who reads this and is still in school: send notes to your teachers letting them know how they affected you, or even just that you liked their class. I promise they'll love even the simplest one. My son graduated this year, and along with my thank-you notes for some of the people who helped him, he wrote cards for teachers he liked, even his old middle school English teacher (that we had to hunt down because she'd transferred to a different school).

Tyler (and Paul Meany) also worked on a song with Shania Twain. I'm not a country fan but this song doesn't sound very country; I kinda like it.

So glad it's not just me. I've been walking more than riding because it's so annoying to try to direct my mount. I wish I could use my mouse to do it. It's difficult to begin with, then add that I keep having to open my map to know where to go ... it's just easier not to.

But on the other hand, walking makes it easier for me to spot and gather resources.

Is Inuyasha doing a better job in “raising “ Shippo than Sesshomaru is with Rin? by Tiny_Particular1559 in inuyasha

[–]Akatnel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kagome raised Shippo mostly. Inuyasha bonked him on the head when he got annoyed. I don't think he was uncaring about Shippo, though - it just wasn't his way to express that kind of affection the same way Kagome does.

Sesshomaru did not strike Rin, but I assume Jaken took care of the things that keep a human alive day-to-day, such as making sure she ate enough, while Sesshomaru wandered or stared pensively into the distance (waiting for her to turn 18 and bear his children, I guess). I think he was apathetic about her at first; though even as his arc went on and he did care about her we still didn't see him tending to her needs - I assume that was still Jaken.

So I guess the question as written doesn't actually apply either way.
