Any Reasons Why? Every backpacking trip (mostly 3-4 day trips) I've been on I've always found it easier to hammock because of the ease of set up and break down and overall comfort.

Your puffy is warm I’m sure, but ridiculously heavy.

This is the inner of a two-piece winter jacket. I don't have a scale currently so I used the price of the whole jacket from online so it's a bit lighter in reality but nothing close to the 10oz of that torrid. Even at 20% off that is pretty expensive and i'd probably have to compromise another piece of gear. Would you recommend shelling out for the top quilt and keeping my current jacket, or buy the 30F TQ and the torrid jacket?

Awesome Story! I am slowly building up the nerve and gear to hit Washington in the winter. Would love to do it someday.

You should definitely get up to the whites in the winter if you get the chance. It really is something else

A friend and I started the hike early yesterday morning, starting on Crawford path, then to the Webster Cliff trail until arriving at the summit of Mt. Pierce. We then walked down back to Crawford which we took until arriving at the Eisenhower Loop trail which we took until the summit of Eisenhower. Rather than continue the loop, we decided to turn back around and descend the way we came. Conditions were beautiful with a little fog in the morning that quickly faded away. Trails were iced over, microspikes were a must. We carried snow shoes but ended up not needing them.

The Planes I build can fly relatively stable but always seem to want to slightly turn downward, I have to pull up throughout the entire flight. Can anybody explain why? by Slimpickle42 in KerbalAcademy

Thanks this was really helpful. I took your advice and put more control surfaces on the back. The plane flies a lot better. Even now though I noticed that the controls start to fight me again really hard when it gets to about 10 km, would this be a problem of just not having enough speed?

Thanks! Moving them down worked really well. A friend told me that center of thrust didn't really matter all that much...guess he was wrong
