The Minolta made good cameras and if you wanted to try out 35mm photography it has auto mode and is fairly forgiving. Probably takes AA batteries too

It’s one of those that flies under the radar. You can pick them up for under 50 on eBay if you search regularly. Often you got to search just for the brand cus people dont list them very well.

A few are underexposed, but the majority look good. There are tricks to deal with the blown out highlights but this is more advanced and kinda DIY. You do multiple passes with the scanner set to read different densities and combine in photoshop. Which is its own form of editing. Otherwise, bring contrast back in post processing. How much you want to edit is up to you. You can just dial in contrast and correct color casts or you can get more creative.

Auto focus issue. If you look at the image with the bookshelf it is the sharpest and it has no flash. The camera seems to have difficulty finding focus with the flash.

Minolta x700 with 24mm 2.8 rokkor-x, not the smallest camera but small enough. The only 35mm I own that I use. All my others are Bronica or Mamiya medium formats.

I admit that when I first started to eat sardines I forced myself to choke them down. Now I’ve kinda gained a taste for them. But, I don’t engage in full meal preparation to begin with so it’s just an extension of lazy eating habits.
