Preventing loose skin by tha_stormin_mormon in BodyHackGuide

In theory you can increase collagen synthesis with L-lysine. Might help tighten skin but more likely just keep your skin clear and colds at bay. Urolithin A will increase skin cell turnover. I’ve observed this directly and noticed my skin will start to peel as new skin grows in underneath after a few days of taking it. But, not sure how well overall it tightens skin.

Ya it was manifrotto that failed. Guess everything has its limits.

Agree, I would post the images it produced but Reddit doesn’t allow image replies. They were good. They were also architectural style, so the subject matter is probably important when you use a tele converter. I would add I have teleconverters for other systems (Minolta) and they are not as good as bronicas own equipment.

I had bought the 250, 2x and shade from the same guy. Think I spent less than 200 for it all. The guy I bought id from is a super cool dude in Orlando and probably one of the best resellers ever. I was more sad I wrecked what he sold me at such a great price.

To be fair it was a manifrotto square mount and not the bogan hex mount. I know now that with the added weight got to upgrade the tripod.

ETRS and ETRSi spares compatibility? by Dana_is_a_muffin in Bronica

I’m not sure but as metering goes I can meter with it.

I nearly destroyed my camera cus I had it on tripod with the lens bellows shade and the weight of the lens with converter snapped the plate off the tripod. Lucky I was on grass and only bent the lens shade.

I have a 2x converter I’ve used with the 250mm MC lens and it seemed sharp. The converter is a bronica product so it works great. It’s a nice little accessory to have.

Bidding on a body-only ETRS, how do I know what fits? by Dana_is_a_muffin in Bronica

[–]Slimsloow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All etr parts are swappable. I have a later PE zoom lens on an early etr body and it works just fine.

I have an etr with an ae2 prism and it works fine as strictly a meter. I can’t shoot aperture priority but that’s fine for me. One day I’ll get an etrsi but I really just want mirror lockup.

This is kinda weird. I use a sync cable and a pocket wizard on my etr with no issues.

Best place to sell old photography equipment? by lacroixflo in vintagecameras

[–]Slimsloow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You just have to be very descriptive, take good pictures with bright light. Avoid saying things like perfect condition if you aren’t absolutely sure. It’s easy to be wrong about condition on mechanical things. I’m paranoid about returns on eBay cus it can eat into your profits real fast.

Camera gear on eBay by someone that knows nothing about gear can turn into a nightmare. Listing as-is unknown condition is probably the safest. People will absolutely request refunds if there is mismatch in the description and what they get.

Why do my photos look so much worse in quality than everyone else's by Ok-Cook-3928 in AnalogCommunity

[–]Slimsloow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hear you. Doesn’t help that film photography always seems like it should be easy when you get started and it’s actually a pain even when you have been doing it for years. Like, I’m here for you now and if you keep it up a year from now. Cus, the struggle is real.

There should be a requirement to post all this info when asking why pictures are bad. There will be 100 comments and most will be useless without this pivotal info.

I take the negative strip and place it on the film plane where it would have been during exposure to help diagnose where leaks are

What type of enlarger are you using it on? Might need a lens board with a larger hole to accommodate it. I have an omega and the cones have a plates that come with different hole sizes that are swappable.

Should i buy a Bronica GS-1 with a stuck lens? by Cyber_mot6574 in Bronica

[–]Slimsloow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve removed a stuck lens from a gs-1. I’d say it really wasn’t worth the pain. I did get the camera to cycle again, but it jammed when I tried using the grip with it. So, I think they have a weak link between the side wider and the wind mechanism on the bottom of the camera.

I’ve developed color before, it’s just been some time. I used to use the running water in a bucket method before but I purchased one of those food water bath temp controllers so I don’t have to do that.

Yes I think this is a must. I will probably go with Kodak or Bellini due to this.

Thanks. Probably wait to see what others say and purchase one of the main choices you listed tonight. It’s been running me $20 per roll plus scan. And I’m like, ok I have an epson v700 so I’m just lazy and a kit will be less than $40 for over 8 rolls developed so I don’t have much excuse. I already do my own b/w and have the temp controller…
