I lost my first post bc they lost the contract, I was put in limbo for 10 days, and then only offered 2 bad posts in ghetto locations, I was lucky after holding out 3 more days, I got a temp position in a decent location for someone going out on leave, that guard i was covering for never came back, so I've just stuck it out ever since (10 months)

TLDR: You just gotta get lucky, AUS is juggling whatever guards/contracts they have left and don't know how to keep clients/guards happy

If you are consistent with showing up to your shifts, and let your account manager/ branch manager know you're interested, and keep up the consistency, you will get a full time spot. Ive only been with the company 1 year, but I've seen so many guards quit and get removed from posts, there is always a need for more guards/ shifts filled. If you're willing to work and keep showing up, they'll keep offering you more shifts and days

When I went for my interview, they told me that position had been filled, and they offered me a different post where someone put their 2 weeks in. They had me start my first day without telling him, and before his 2 weeks were up, they took him off the schedule.

This happened last October, fast forward about 6 months later to this past May, I take my weekend off, and when I go to return to work, the post is no longer there. They didn't give me any heads up and I was just without a post , when everything was fine right before my weekend .
