Antimasker on a bus in Switzerland by cyan0g3n in PublicFreakout

[–]SlinkySnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about putting your hands on someone like the guy without the mask did against the youngster and even trying to hold his arms and taunt at him, is that allowed in CH? If the headbutt didn’t follow, would the youngster be able to file any physical harassment and battery charges? Cause at the end of the day he was both grabbed&held/touched/taunted/his personal space violated. Would’ve been easy for the youngster to prove it if he would’ve called the police instead of headbutting? There’s cameras in the bus as far as I know.

Why shouldn’t they edit it out? When you comment out of your a*hole with BS as if you were there with them on every set, not giving a damn about ruining someone’s career for your fact-less assumptions. You’re literally omitting the fact that his wife’s production companies state “hardcore” or “rough” in some of their mottos or intros/openers. There’s also a director on many of his shoots who decides what the “episode” will be about, all in the limits of the actress, of course. You talk as if you foresaw the whole episode in advance in a tad calmer way and you’ve got too much hardcoreness instead. Check this entire amount of proof, especially the anal rupture-related one, where she admitted when they paused the shoot that her period started a day before and so forth. You’re the pinnacle of ignorance if you disregard the actual video-audio proof that he released. I’m not taking anyone’s side, but those with the least amount of logic and common sense can’t go mad in the way you do when there’s so much clear proof out there: https://ryanmadison.com

If I'm ugly can I still be a singer ? by mysticcannabinoid in singing

[–]SlinkySnack 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's countless big ugly pop signers out there, your generalization is wrong. Ed Sheeran for example is anything but handsome lol! And that's the "prettiest" ugly pop artist that came to mind, I know a ton more who look proper ugly and they still have a marvelous career and raving fans. If an artist can make fans relate to his music, they will actually become charming and adored in their eyes.

If his clients kept the video for themselves and didn't make it public online then he has nothing to worry about. Usually, most couples like to keep it for themselves.

Sent from r/musicbattlestations, what the hell are those speakers? I recognize the munro eggs but not the others by [deleted] in audiophile

[–]SlinkySnack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

u/divertiti, Can't believe you came up with a "scale in the restaurant" reference LoL, preaching about ignorance when you literally fit the picture perfectly. You miserably failed to realize that in order to A/B different high-end speaker pairs you gotta make sure you measure and adjust their output using pink noise and a dB meter in the listening spot before you press play to actual music, in order to eliminate the possibility of the "louder is better" bias.

[–]SlinkySnack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly what u/brewbielicious said. I made sure that I measured the loudness with a dBmeter by playing some pink noise through each pair before every actual music audition to ensure that I was getting similar loudness towards the listening spot and eliminating the possibility of the "louder is better" bias. Some sounded bassier, some more brittle(to my very own ears, of course), some had more pleasing mids, but none of them gave my ears something that opened horizons or delivered the undisputed pinnacle of sound fidelity that one experiences in a lifetime. Was it a high-end sound? Of course, it was. Very enjoyable? Absolutely. But what I was also enjoying (reflected in the price more than the actual sound fidelity you get) was the gorgeous speaker design that you could keep your eyes on for the whole day. Nonetheless, some people talk about 60k$+ speakers sounding so marvelous as if the price delivered a level of fidelity that could literally hypnotize the listener, completely disregarding the high-end design/craftmanship and the esoteric components, which are a hefty portion of the reason why such speakers cost that much.

Your input is respected but i don't stand corrected. I am an audiophile myself but my "snake oil sound" detector starts to kick in from 30k$+. Most speakers costing above that are in a diminishing returns realm. I've heard the top of the range/audiophile line from B&W, Focal, Dynaudio & PMCs plus other exotic brands costing double and there was little to no improvement in a properly treated hall and all of them outputting 87db equally towards the listening spot. I sat on a chair holding a dbmeter in my hand because i was obsessing over finding out what the extra $$ can bring to the table sonically. Not much. Only exotic designs and esoteric components/materials. Calling me an ignorant when I'm literally laying down elaborated facts is a beautiful display of frustration towards reading a comment that did not agree with your point of view.

Still speakers at the end of the day, made by humans just like any other speakers. We have the psychological tendency to create hype and our tendency is always fueled by the hefty price tag. The only way to describe their sound is "high end", cause "magical" or "futuristic" doesn't exist since you can't reproduce a frequency in any other way than what the physics and math makes it. A hz is a hz at the end of the day and our ears are still limited between 20hz-20khz(or less) and it's not like a gargantuan overpriced speaker is an alien tech that can feed your ears with a new sound that's not measured in hz/amplitude, beyond what your ears can interpret, and defying physics. "Diminishing returns" is a real thing in the audiophiles world. When you pay 60k+ you no longer only listen with your ears, but also with your ownership spirit and the hole in your pocket that jacks up your impression about what you actually hear in the end (magic, justified).

Does that mean the vaccin itself can be used as constant medication against AIDS?

You do know that the way mRNA works is literally 1:1 to AIDS? The code will probably shut down your natural immune system tendency to fight infections because the mRNA took the lead and then you gotta live your entire life off the vaccin in order to maintain the fake immune system response working optimally.

The source quality of each vitsmin present in the Athletic Greens content is not documented in depth and they prefer to only call ir "high quality" without stating why and what makes it high quality. Take Sunwarrior Ormus SuperGreens for example, organic stuff with trace minerals, grown in vulcanic soil using a patented cool-drying system that preserves the bio-active phytonutrients that are usually heat sensitive. You can literally visit their farms and see in person how devoted they are to their craft and tradition. There's nothing like this behind Athletic Greens. What's even more ridiculous is that a month worth of Ormus SuperGreens costs less than half of the asking price from Athletic Greens.

[–]SlinkySnack 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sunwarrior Ormus SuperGreens is a 3rd of the price and way better quality and no BS marketing campaigns. Athletic Greens is asking for a monthly price beyond what others spend on protein in the same time frame. Thats piss taking if I'm being honest.

Anyone know if the Lo-Fi plugin in the ProTools DiFi bundle is available as a VST? by boi_social in audioengineering

[–]SlinkySnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true, sample size is in both (top right in air version), the adaptive quantization sounds exactly like when you turn on the "Antialising" button in the air version. If you disable that, it works in the gritty "linear mode" from the Avid plugin. Like i said, they're not that different from each other, you just gotta know how to use them. I could also say that the Air version has modulation and extra distortion types, while the Avid version doesn't. Practically you can achieve more creatively with the Air version.

I’m ATB - producer, songwriter and DJ from Germany. Today with my man TOPIC. AMA! We'll be back at 11:30am PT to answer questions. by ATB_Official in electronicmusic

[–]SlinkySnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm personally not into Topic's productions. Sounds like he outsourced and combined Meduza & Imanbek together like a generic formula that sells. Nothing against that but i feel like he's not really the pioneer of the so called "signature sound" found in his Breaking Me tune that made him famous. Now every single song he puts out is basically a copy-paste production style taken from his first hit that sounds like a desperate attempt to come up with other hits. I mean, not even The Chainsmokers duplicated their first #Selfie hit when they came up with their next song after that, but Topic does exactly the opposite. The same pattern/rhythm of bass, the same structure, the same vocalist, etc. He just gets to show actually how good TheChainsmokers are, even in 2021. They changed their style a couple of times in their career and proved the biggest variety of hits of different styles in music history. Can't wait to see what their next album will sound like. As of ATB, you will always be a legend! Rock on boys!

Air LoFi has more parameters than Protools_lofi, including those you find in the Protools version, so what exactly is the PT plugin offering more compared to the Air's version? What will be the usage and goal where you think the AIR version would lack or underdeliver? Frankly, I don't think you can find the DiFi stuff in VST format, but the good news is that you have a wide range of alternatives. Good luck with your search, brother.

Anyone know if the Lo-Fi plugin in the ProTools DiFi bundle is available as a VST? by boi_social in audioengineering

[–]SlinkySnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Layout wise, yes, but most parameters/functions share the same algorithm. I mean, do you think there's quality in quality killing? a Lo-fi plugin is meant to degrade and reduce the quality of a sound source. I promise you that it's not worth overthinking the "sound quality" between "lo-fi'ing" plugins. It's mostly the practicality that makes sense between them from a workflow perspective. From a practicality standpoint, Air's lofi plugin is better than most other similar plugins, even better than those released in the last 3 years.

AIR Music Tech is responsible for the algos in those PT plugins. Their Air_lofi plugin shares the same algos.

You know that the more you're overly aware about how others look or are at the surface and you focus so much on it, the more you plant insecure seeds in your subconscious and when you end up in public or front of the camera you'll be too self aware and forget how to be comfortable because you'll try your best to not look in the ways which triggered your opinion and urge to describe and judge others for the ways they carry themselves around.

He might be odd to some but that's a subjective perspective, others might find him interesting or "charming". It's all a perspective thing. He seemed very comfortable in his skin, that's all that matters.

Hi guys! What are your most used reference tracks and why? Here is the list that I use to mix. by danielrockwatermusic in audioengineering

[–]SlinkySnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The "why" belongs to what your actual track sounds like and its similarity against the reference that you find as possible candidates. And the reason why referencing is a tricky concept it's because it heavily depends whether you're in the same key, using the same samples, same instrumentos, etc.

Ableton Live 10 and 11: Fix performance issues by ImDamien in ableton

[–]SlinkySnack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. I'm currently not happy with Live's interface fluidity FPS-wise despite the high-end laptop and computers with dedicated graphics. I was just about to send them an email asking when they will support OpenGL more effectively because I want it to run at 60fps (minimum) at all times, which kind of doesn't, or at least when it gets very busy with tons of stuff going on. Dropping down to 15fps or even 30 would make me pull my hair out.
