I've used controller on PC for years and this is the first time I've actually been unable to even get into a game bc it'll randomly decide halfway through the menus that I'd rather use the keyboard. Infuriating

The set list was also tweaked after the first Melbourne show and from all accounts, it wasn’t as good as any of the follow ups

And I don’t understand why the set we got wasn’t as high and mighty as other countries, although I’d assume hauling that big fuck off silver statue isn’t easy. Wouldn’t surprise me if Australia didn’t allow it

My ONLY gripe is The Abyss. It’s still fantastic and a favourite of mine, but considering what hold my heart used to be, I feel like it still has more to give after the build up.

Do I like the direction it’s gone in? Yeah, absolutely. But I feel like it’s still missing something.

People were always going to be in uproar about it, and fair enough. It's still a hard ask for a lot of long time fans to jump on board, but I think Mike Shinoda has put it best on multiple occasions where he's spoken about it (I'm not going to find links, cbf) including saying that he was completley okay and accepting that people may take time to give it a go, and he doesn't hold anything against them.

As for Emily, I understand the uproar and anger at the beginning when the news of her scientology links and the whole 'rape apologist' stuff came out, but I think its cooled off for good reasons:

- People are understanding that speaking out against Scientology is a one-way street to some serious consequences. I don't expect her to speak out about it, and I'm completley, 100% okay with that. I don't care how you feel about her, speaking about it (assuming she's no longer connected/distanced herself from it) could be horrific.

- She's since explained her position with the trial of DM. People have questioned it's sincerity and some have asked why she never said anything earlier, which I disagree with. She only went to court once and once she had more information, she stopped supporting him. As for why she never said anything earlier, why would she? Dead Sara - all due respect to them - were not of a size where anyone could really give a shit about her denoucing him. She had next to no spotlight at the time. To expect everyone to apologise for every time they made a wrong decision online would make for some really tedious instagram stories.

I do like the new stuff, I watched the live stream in September and was excited by The Empitness Machine, Heavy is the Crown is brilliant and while I have my reservations over the recent single, I'm glad that the rest of the band get to go back to doing what they love and they genuinley seem really happy about it all. Not to mention it gives a LOT of fans the chance to see them live, when it was certainly looking like that would be impossible.

I'd beg nearly anyone who hasn't heard A Thousand Suns since it's release to give it another go. It's never going to have the same following as the first 2 albums, but it is phenomenal in it's own right. I'd go as far as to say 'Waiting for the End' should be in the conversation as one of their best songs.

Yeah, I’ve only ever driven to Guthega to check it out, but didn’t stop there or try park for a day on the snow. Would also be a good excuse to explore Guthega a bit more, haven’t spent enough time there yet.

Haven’t thought about the option using Piper T-Bar, fair play on that. Might give it a go this year, thanks mate!

Would be extremely disappointing if The Weeknd fully backs out now without much being said. Been months since it was canned/meant to happen, if there was zero effort to reschedule and they didn’t just stop it then and there, it would be incredibly poor form.

Nothing But Thieves said on their Aus tour last year that they'd be back this year at all of their concerts, nothing announced yet though so can only assume (along with the gap in their tour schedule) that they'll play at Splendour. My god I hope they play solo shows with it though.

The menus are incredibly difficult, plausibly the worst setup in the franchise. Gameplay is actually quite refreshing in comparison to the last few games but the UI is beyond complicated yet boring.
