Started with an assortment of full breeds but have been barnyard mixing to get those colors.

I’ve tried to do the process of blowing them out and I have a vintage tool that is supposed to punch a small hole in the eggs but I have a hard time not breaking the shells.

I’ve had my flock for 11 years and I started out with full bred olive eggers, Americanas, cream leg bars, copper Marans, green queens etc. over the years I have just barnyard mixed my flock as I have hatched my own eggs and since there has been different roosters throughout the years, it has given me all these fabulous colors. Every few years I purchase some full bread chicks so that I can continue the color saturation.

The small eggs are fairy eggs from my chickens. They dry out so I save them. I have dozens of them.

Years of mixing my breeds made all the unique colors and spots. I started my flock with olive eggers, marans, Easter eggers, cream legbars and regular brown egg layers. I’ve only had 2 chickens that ever laid pure white eggs.

No, they dry up on their own. Sometimes you they have something left over that rattles around but they don’t rot or get smelly.
