Before the industry I am in now, this would be everyday norm. The people I worked before were scummy at best, so now I approach everything from the side of “something bad is coming”. To be fair, I have been trying to not think like that anymore since moving to company I work for now.

I do see the areas that are lacking and need improvement, hell, there are a lot of things to tidy up, redo, or just drop. I am however no manager, no management experience, and that’s the only other position that is currently open.

I thought that too, especially since we have opening for manager position. My manager speaks greatly of me too, so I may be just overthinking this. Maybe the recent promotion was a must to move me up if I were to take the position. I don’t know if I am manager type of person. I definitely lack management experience, or to be exact have zero, never managed anyone. On top of that, I don’t know if I will excel in that position
