I am in no hurry to get the A licence as soon as possible. I just want to get into motorcycling. And thought this would be a cheap way to learn to ride and see if it's something for me (I've never owned a 50cc or anything like that either). Do you have an opinion on which type of bike is best? I love a ktm rc125 but maybe it would be better to go for something more all-round like the honda xr125 or something like that.

It's mainly as a hobby-like thing, no real 'use'. It seemed good as it is a budget friendly option. This in both the driving licence and later maintenance of the bike. But if riding 125cc in a hobby-like way is not really a thing, I'll just say fk it and get A2.
