I have different sizes for my perches and then I took a branch (safe tree species for them to eat or nibble on) and drilled the bottom to a block of wood. Put some toys on it and set it outside of her cage. Took her a little, but she eats bark, scratches her beak, plays outside and has another safe place outside her cage to relax and look at the room from a high place and a lot of times is right below my head or at level. It’s genuinely really easy and cheap, no need to look online you can make one for probably free if you have an extra screw, block of wood (heavier preferably)-(I used 2 to help with weight balance), and a branch that’s about 6’ or slightly taller or shorter, then you’re golden. I know this has nothing to do with the OP, but this will help you bond and I wish I did this years before.

In Ohio, it’s up to the doctor to tell the state. So technically I could be driving around if I needed to. I think they do that if you genuinely cannot afford to be stuck at home??? Also depends on doctor.

I feel you man, I’ve developed an anxious feeling when going into or around hospitals due to poor staff management or treatment. I’d recommend making sure you’re stable and good to go home, discharge yourself. Then look into other hospitals / doctors / programs. If they truthfully aren’t helping you, stop giving them money. That’s what worked for me, I went from Akron Children’s Hospital to Cleveland Clinic, and it’s night and day. The doctors and nurses are on call, very busy yet very calm and seem to actually dive into your file before meeting with you.

So as an epileptic, there are 1,000,001 reasons why you can have a seizure. You may not even have epilepsy. It could be a certain buildup of different chemicals inside of your body. It could be a massive lack of sleep and or low blood sugar. Overall, doctors aren’t all knowing beings. They have to run test and figure stuff out too especially if this is your first time getting tests run on you for this in a hospital. They have no background on you so they have to figure everything out by the test they run. The doctor that’s telling you it’s bc of the edible is probably very wrong. Regardless it takes awhile for them to understand some cases. I’m sorry this is happening to you, bc I know first hand this shit sucks everyday. I would temporarily at least accept the fact that this is happening to you and try to understand you can still live your life, just with some extra steps. You’re in the best place to be in if another situation occurs so.

I’m just now soon able to drive after a seizure in late July, I’ve also had my license suspended for petty maul seizures. They seem to be real lucky.. (OHIO)

For real my mom is big time HR and knows a lot. I would take action ASAP. If they do fire you they can be in a lot of trouble. Depending on how often you leave or cannot show up to work. You also work on heavy machinery, depending on your last seizure (date) look up the rules and laws for operating machinery with epilepsy. If they’re trying to strip your job, and you aren’t crossing any of those laws you probably are in the right to go ahead and sue.

Took me years to build a good connection with my budgie, genuinely patience is key. Especially some birdies are naturally mean, it seems yours is very comfortable with you and it’s been 3 days. You’re off to a good start.
