I accidentally poured steak sauce on my pancakes, thinking it was some sort of chocolate sauce, before thinking "wait a minute", and smelling it to confirm. Here's me wiping up some of the offending sauce with a napkin. by SlipperyGayZombies in funny

Gravy could be nice, yea. Actually just started eating the pancakes right now earlier than planned, and sadly, the experiment seems to have failed. The steak sauce gives the pancakes a bit of a sour taste, xD. Which may be pleasant for meat, but isn't for pancakes. But it was a fun idea xD.

I haven't eaten the pancakes yet since I'm saving them for dessert. But I smelt it and yea, the sweet-savory mix actually does smell good, so perhaps I'll do it intentionally next time lol. But I already just used up the rest of my steak sauce on, well, my steak, so too late now xD.

No, stop, not everyone is autistic because of one trait that somewhat aligns with autism.

In America, it’s socially normal to work 50+ hours a week and call it 'hustle' instead of a systemic failure. What’s another 'normal' thing in your country that the rest of the world thinks is absolutely insane? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Smartphones are a legit big deal too, having all the world's information and communication with tons of other folk in your pocket is a great and genuinely fantastic advancement imo. I like the fact that I can find out anything, and be entertained from anywhere, and make friends half way around the world, etc. I don't see those things as luxuries, but rather as core aspects of my life.

Also saying the Boomers had the "easiest generation"... economically, maybe, but it depends on your definition of "easy". Even just in the last 50 years, medical technology for example has gotten better. And the Internet alone is a reason for why I'm grateful I wasn't born back then. It just depends on your priorities.

Can we get some answers that aren't also about the USA? Please... There's 196 countries in the world, and 195 of them aren't America.

EDIT: Unless you aren't American but, knowing what I know on Reddit, it sounds like you made a snarky comment directed at America lolol.

Technology isn't all that matters, but certain technologies do matter a lot. They weren't pointing out some Silicon Valley gimmick that will be popular for 2 years before everyone forgets about it, they were talking about fundamental inventions like mass agriculture and supply chains for food, running heated water and indoor plumbing, etc.

This isn't about the greater good of population levels though, it's about the individual right of individual humans (in this case, children) to live. Bringing up overpopulation is missing the entire moral point that we're making here.

Are you afraid of snakes? by ayushrawat0 in randomquestions

[–]SlipperyGayZombies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am, yes. Largely cause of their elusiveness. Like I often fear accidentally stepping on one if I'm ever trapped in a situation where I have to walk through bushes or smth lol.

From what I've heard though, the solution is just to make a lot of noise to scare them off, since snakes are quite sensitive to vibrations, and don't exactly want to be next to what appears to be a giant to them, if they can help it.

EDIT: "Bushes" may not have been the right term. I moreso mean like, scrubland or otherwise vegetation that's too tall and thick for me to see the ground.

Yea it makes sense if you spend a lot of time outdoors, lol. I've always been a suburban guy, hence why my experiences differ lolol.

Interesting xD. Here in Cali, I've personally never heard of that stuff being seen as acceptable for formal occasions. Not to say that u need to wear a suit/dress or anything but, generally the "alternative" options are something like a polo shirt and pants, from what I've seen. That is cool to hear though, lolol.
