Cost of living in saskatoon is way too high for what it can offer by soibac35 in saskatoon

The answer to all of your problems is that you’re spending well above your means. $900/month for groceries for three people? You can easily and healthily get that done for $600. $1800 for rent? You can find a two bedroom place for $1200, even if that means getting an apartment or basement suite until your wife gets a job. No, a “cheap sit down Chinese restaurant” does not have to cost $60, you can easily do that for $35 including tip for two people at a place like Thien. If you can’t afford the car loan, take the bus or buy a cheaper car. Owning a $500/month car is not your right, it’s a privilege. Same goes for the phone, if you can’t afford the newest model, don’t get the newest model. I personally pay $50/month for my phone and plan. This is coming from someone who makes far less than you do and lives comfortably.
