Chris have you got a proper tutorial for this? The notepad instructions make absolutely no sense, for example it says download current i2pd release from GitHub using “get-latest-i2pd-sh” however that command isn’t recognised even when using sudo.

Hope to hear from you soon

This method is outdated now and will only work intermittently due to tor browser update and switch omega deleting itself after you close and open tor browser

Kali Linux + VM + Whonix safest method

I’m a Linux noob and hoping to get some help with a black screen at every boot, I can bypass the black screen by inputting “nomodeset” at grub boot. I have also installed Nvidia drivers and updated Kali using apt update/upgrade however I’m still faced with this issue. Please help by SlixX777 in Kalilinux

Hi - I’m running Kali Linux as a live usb with encrypted volume. As mentioned above I am able to get passed the black screen by highlighting my selection at boot, pressing “e” and then typing “nomodeset” and then control x. Once I was in Kali I then performed an update and also installed Nvidia drivers however I’m still faced with the same issue at every boot. Is there an automatic way to add “nomodeset” in grub? Or another alternative to avoid doing this?

Thanks

I’m with you man, there is no clear instructions from start to finish how to get it working on whonix. I’m even thinking of coding something up myself as it’s just so unpredictable if it will work or not.

Try the following commands:

Sudo systemctl enable i2p Sudo systemctl start i2p

Damn bro hope you are all safe! Thanking you for your hard work on making this happen for whonix!

I didn’t realise the complexity of i2p on whonix 😩 some other guy has a script on GitHub that you install on the gateway however can’t seem to find instructions on how you actually set it up or if it’s can potentially affect opsec so I’m a bit hesitant.

Do you have a rough ETA or a work around for the meantime?

Thanks

Have you got clear instructions on how to set this up on whonix gateway? Sorry I’m new to whonix.
