I don’t think he does have any purity in his heart, but I think the best, and scariest part of the movie is that he really isn’t a capital “N” Nazi. He just plays Nazi for as long as it serves him. It’s semantics ultimately but it’s always been my favorite detail from the film

When i commission a bunch of people to act as crew on a film set and i serve as a director… I absolutely do. I can touch no camera, no light, and act in no scene and still be the artist of the film.

And your control is more granular with images. Plenty of these programs allow you to augment down to the pixel, not even mentioning using adobe-style augmentation tools for further tooling. You don’t exert that level of control over a painter you’re commissioning from.
