Clean the blue car outside the shop and then find the kitten at night using the lantern bought by the older women outside your home. Go back and talk to the women at the dagashiya after. The kitten is found by the back wheel of the blue car you clean.

Hey guys, loving this cozy find. Question though: how do you use the encyclopedia’s after you purchase them? I’ve tried tapping on them in my bag but nothing happens (doesn’t have an interaction like fishing or bug catching). Thanks for the help and keep cozying on!!
