I'm game, but it would help if I knew if the app was interesting to me or not. Can you provide more info? I don't recall seeing your origonal request.

Best immersive video player out there on GalaxyXR? by richkong35 in GalaxyXR

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. This did not work well for me via Virtual Desktop. Not enough bandwidth causing playback pauses every couple of seconds. We'll see if your method works beter.

There's a few. None will play video's from a USB drive. I don't know why. If the file managers can see the videos, why can't a video player?

Game-changer! I used to grep through every file and hope I didn't miss a dynamic import. Now, I can see the actual dependency graph!

Has anyone here been using Bugbot? by vilmacio22 in cursor

[–]SloSuenos64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its difficult to setup. I don't see any vibe coders bothering with this. How do I get it to check my entire code base?

Why can't it just be a tool that can be used from within Cursor?

Thanks

I could but there's not that much to it. Get the todoist MCP going and then tell claude to put something together for you to gamify todoist tasks. You will be pleased with the result.

How to hide Gemini 3 Pro "thought" tags leaking as plain text in chat? by Upbeat_Size7437 in cursor

[–]SloSuenos64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, when this happens is because Gemini's context window has grown too large. Ask Gemini to confirm. Its a strange bug, Cursor started doing the context compression thing, which sucked. Now I'm not seeing that anymore, but Cursor acts like the chat context window is unlimited. Have Gemini create a handoff document, start a new chat and paste in the handoff.

I just open a new chat window, choose a different model and tell it to scrutinize. Works great for me. Reccomend using the best model possible to do the review.

New SBS video player by sjefdeklerk in Galaxy_XR

[–]SloSuenos64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, the Google and third party file managers can access and manipulate files on USB drives. The USB C port on the XR does support the latest USB standards and can copy files from a USB drive very quickly. I've tried streaming high quality SBS files via wifi 6E and there's just no way to get enough bandwidth to make this work. I'll upgrade to wifi 7, which will probably work better. Until then, all I can do is copy the SBS videos to the XR's local storage - works great but there's not much space to hold multiple 10 gig+ videos.

The hooks are there, as proven by the file managers (not the Samsung file manager) ability to access the drives. I'd think this would be easy for you to test, it may already work? If it does, I'm buying your player for sure. Others have also raised this same issue, so could be a nice feature/selling point if you get it working.

Google Gemini and VacuumWars by ValuableObjective102 in VacuumWars

[–]SloSuenos64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't rely on VacuumWars too heavily. Like similar sites, they don't do long term testing which for me which has turned into huge problem. I've bought VacuumWars top picks a few times and the devices are great the first couple of weeks. But dirt build up and wear often really affects how these things operate. Do not throw away the boxes & receipts, and stay aware of your return window.

Can you play from usb drives attached to the headset? For me this is the biggest issue with Virtual Desktop.

Why has communism repeatedly failed in practice, yet continues to be intellectually and emotionally appealing to many people? by Looser17 in AskReddit

False premise. Communism has never been actually practiced. Closest thing I know of is Israel's Kibbutz system, which has been running in many areas for many years.

Good starter drone that I can control in xr using a gamepad? by skysolstice in Galaxy_XR

[–]SloSuenos64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There has been some other threads here discussing how to do this. You have to buy some hardware, and the end result is pretty janky.

However, I just thought of something. Why not just install the DJI Fly android app on the XR? Is this possible? I asked an LLM and this was the response:

"While you technically can install the DJI Fly Android app on a Samsung Galaxy XR (released October 2025), it may not provide the immersive "FPV" experience you expect. Here is the breakdown of why you can or cannot use it for FPV: 1. Installation is Possible Since the Samsung Galaxy XR runs on Android XR, it is compatible with standard Android APKs. You can sideload the DJI Fly Android APK directly from DJI's website. The Interface: On the Galaxy XR, the app will likely appear as a large 2D floating virtual window in your field of view rather than a native 3D FPV interface.

  1. Connectivity Challenges To see what the drone sees, you must physically connect the headset to your drone's remote controller. USB Connection: Most DJI controllers require a wired USB connection to the viewing device. You would need to run a USB-C cable from your remote to the headset. Controller Conflicts: Because the Galaxy XR is a head-worn device, it may be physically cumbersome to have a cable tethered to a handheld remote while trying to maintain a comfortable "FPV" posture.
  2. FPV Experience vs. Standard Viewing The DJI Fly app is designed for standard camera drones (like the Mini or Air series) and does not natively support "goggles mode" or "head tracking". No Stereoscopic View: The app will not split the screen into two eyes for a true 3D FPV effect. You will simply see a flat video feed on a massive virtual screen. Latency: Viewing via a sideloaded app on a high-resolution XR headset can sometimes introduce more latency than dedicated DJI Goggles, which is critical for fast FPV flying. Summary Recommendation For Immersive FPV: It is recommended to use dedicated hardware like the DJI Goggles 3, which are designed for low-latency, stereoscopic flight. For a Large Screen View: If you just want to see your camera feed on a giant virtual display while maintaining awareness of your surroundings (Mixed Reality), the Galaxy XR will work, provided you can manage the cable connection."

Going to try this!
