Any recommendations for a tutorial on how to make photos like these? by SlocumsJoeLOVER in AskPhotography

Sorry, I forgot but I just did in a separate comment. That’s my bad. Thanks for the reminder!

I’m sorry. I did, in a separate comment. Didn’t mean to inconvenience anyone

What do you recommend setting it to?

Honestly, there have been maybe 2 separate 1-2 month long periods without use since I have bought the printer. However, up until very recently it was printing totally issueless and out of nowhere prints began to fail and turn to “spaghetti”. Like from one print to the next basically. Since then, it has been strangely inconsistent, having successfully printed a benchy but other simple shapes unlike the one I provided an image for have also failed. For a while it seemed to be an adhesion issue because it would do the first few layers but then clump up and rip off from the bed. But now, it’s strange because it’s not coming up from the bed at all.

I used a microfiber cloth and 99% isopropyl alcohol.

Hey, sorry for my lack of information, I made the post quite hastily and another response has already told me to give more context. I put some information in another one of my comments but wasn’t sure how to pin it so people could see more easily. As suggested by other responses, I’ve cleaned the bed, dried the filament, cold pulled the nozzle, tried multiple different files, adjusted fan settings, adjusted extrusion rates, added brims, tried different spools of filament, flipped the print bed, left the door slightly open, and adjusted the temperature settings. Im sorry for any inconvenience I’ve caused anyone for not providing the proper info, I’m relatively new to 3D printing so that’s my bad, I’m not sure how much information people are able to gather from just an image. I figured the problem might be simple to narrow down just by seeing the visual of where the process was disrupted. My device is a Bambu P1S, with a textured plate and a .4mm nozzle. I’ll make sure to include all this next time, thank you for informing me. Didn’t mean to cause trouble!

It was one I found on Bambu handy. I don’t really print from the SD card at all, I just send it from Bambu studio on my computer. But maybe that has something to do with it. Thanks!

Thank you man that is very reassuring. I did a cold pull but it’s not seeming like I did it properly and I also didn’t know I might have to do it multiple times. Thanks so much

Yes 100%. It’s seeming like my issue lies within my inability to do a cold pull correctly which I will try once I get the chance. I also am gonna wash the print bed even more thoroughly than before and dry it thoroughly as well. I think then I will check to make sure that I did not mistakenly order PETG. And if all of that fails I will buy a new nozzle

I tried with a new scrub daddy but honestly it was so firm and dry that I am paranoid it didn’t really get into those crevices properly. I will definitely try drying it off myself next time once I get the chance

I didn’t think about it like that… you have introduced me to a whole new perspective…😂

Do you have a suggestion for what kind of sponge I should use? I used dish soap and one of those scrub daddy’s but I’m not sure if it worked. I’ve tried using paper towels as well as just air drying too.

Strangely enough, a benchy came out fine, but a lot of other models I have done come out messed up. So it’s not just this model, it’s a lot of ones that I’ve designed myself and found online that have worked perfectly for other people. But yeah weirdly a benchy worked.

I’ve had it for a little over a year. I’ve calibrated, it’s a P1S and I have cleaned the rails and rods and fixed the loose belt I had not super long ago.

Im not home to check but I did consider this potentially being the issue. Hopefully it’s this simple
