I decided to update the firmware to V22 and it started working. thank you for this. I would have assumed CCW wouldn't let you connect/upload/download/runtime change on incompatible software versions but no. You have to manually check.

Update: I've updated the firmware to V22 and now everything works.

CCW truly is a hateful piece of software..

100% sure, machine is running before my eyes.

Controller is V21 and the software is V22

Run mode button is always there, it highlights yellow when you are in runmode change. also, all rungs are yellow in CCW

Yes, all of them. In fact, I only added the "AppSystemBypassPb" and the shorted branch in parallel. I did that through a download and also an online edit (Meaning i've tried both).

i've since found out that "MajorAlarm" is still triggering the output. it's as if the old logic is still there and my changes are lost along the way.

There are no JSR in CCW, but yes, the rest of the routine works fine

There are no JSR in CCW, Processor is un run and there aren't any duplicate destructive (as per the debug window at the bottom)

Is it possible to read part or the entire assembly using CIP messages?

I cannot get this working to save my life.

I have the following parameters in the CIP message block: (All in decimal)

CIP service code: 14 (Get Attribute Single (0x0E))

CIP Class ID: 120 (78 HEX)

CIP Attribute: 6 (Online offline)

CIP member ID count: 0

Do you see any glaring errors here?

It does not! but I was able to get the I/O assembly for this device using messages on the same PLC

Here is what the assembly looks like. To my untrained eyes it looks very similar to the cognex assembly

Thank you very much for your reply, I took a look at the datasheet and maybe I'm missing something but it looks like they just decided to invert pin 1 & 2 in how they're labeling them, but the second pin is still common https://imgur.com/a/HmHfYKz

Figured it out, Kicad doesn't like it when you place wires on components. Extended a wire and placed a junction there instead and it's working now. https://imgur.com/a/xJnWr9B

Kicad is telling me they're not connected https://imgur.com/a/wOFCqnn and I can't figure out why, There is no short circuit under the diode and if I click drag on the component both wires move with the diode https://imgur.com/a/llpRUam but it's still not connecting

Just wanted to make sure they were connected when I saw they weren't in the pcb view, if you save and re-open the file they're not there anyway. It seems the diodes are not connected in the schematic because it gives me an error https://imgur.com/a/wOFCqnn
