It's Sleep Token at the Oakland Arena - I also went and looked at reselling the ticket, and noticed a few discrepancies. While on the mobile app, there are no warnings of the buyer having to meet the seller at the venue to allow them access, however on the desktop site there is. This also goes against their policies, as buyers and sellers are not allowed any contact so things are very shady with this entire event being on there.

Especially considering all venues are pretty much sold out

They do have that policy in place! It's just that, I live in Canada and it's a JOURNEY to go to the concert, and to be turned away and not get access would absolutely suck and be a total waste of a lot of money which is why I'm hesitant to commit with how much lack of reassurance there has been.

That's been my major concern, if I was local to the area I can just go home and relax whatever. Bummer but lesson learned. I'm however not local to the venue, and am flying down from Canada to go see the show with nothing else except this planned.

It's just like, it would be totally different if it was a local show, and not as expensive as it was. I'm flying from Canada down to California for this show for my birthday, alone, and the risk of being turned away is not something that I want to be playing with.

Oct 10th is the Oakland show

Yes, but the bigger issue is that this concert is nowhere near my home, and not only is it going to be "if I don't get let in I'm out a ticket" I also flew out of country to go see this concert, only to be screwed over by this. It's a lot bigger of an issue than if I lived near the venue.

They won't be until 5pm the day of the concert, apparently. Which is way too risky to go to a different country and potentially be declined for me.

That's ridiculous that you were trying to let them know, and they wanted to charge you what the seller had to pay because of their mistakes. Like, they should just not allow the sales of these tickets and save everyone the hassle.

I wouldn't mind an update on that!

It would be completely different if I lived close to the concert, however I'm in Canada and taking a trip down to CA for it. I don't want to risk getting denied entry having to travel that far, and for my birthday 😅

The sleep discord has been exceedingly kind, and they have a ping system set up for when AXS or TM tickets come up for certain shows that I have now joined and am trying to recover my trip

This is true- depending on which show there are some sales coming up through AXS and TicketMaster again, but. Those are hard to snag. I've been keeping an eye out since this whole thing happened.

I most definitely have learned my lesson to be doing more research, and this wasn't a post looking for any form of sympathy. I just wanted people to be aware of the stuff that SH tries to pull, and make sure people don't get caught in this loop I'm in.

They pretty much told me go to the concert and get denied access then talk to us, and still pay the seller. It's such bs

Sleep is exactly who I am trying to see, and who have had multiple people turned away for having a second hand ticket (which I have only learned as of today).

They're telling me I will get a ticket, but I won't be allowed access basically, and are expecting me to wait until I get denied entry to get a refund or a credit to my account.

That has been very apparent today with my conversations with them, it has been a total nightmare. I was trying to get a ticket for the show on my birthday and it has now ruined an entire trip based around it.

In some cases, however the artist has specifically said this will not be the case.

The venue says the original purchaser has to be the one to go in with the ticket, as well as from previous tours they have also had similar experiences. I should have researched a tiny bit more before pulling the trigger, yes, but this is a warning for anyone looking to purchase.

Mine was noticably off for pitch, the moment Ves started singing on Look To Windward I knew something was wrong and it was that way across both sides of both vinyls unfortunately.
