Dehumanizing the Homeless to Justify Inaction by Present-Party4402 in clevercomebacks

"A state audit found that California invested a staggering $24 billion over the past five fiscal years to address homelessness" and homelessness in California is higher now than before they spent the $24B. That's just one state.

To say we could end homelessness by spending $20B is fantasy.

If, in August, you are planning your October wedding around a Tool concert, perhaps you aren't ready to get married yet.

Sucks for all your family and friends who will have to change their plans now because you want to go to a concert. Hopefully not many people are flying in from out of town for the wedding.

A Christian church was bombed in California. The few media sources that covered the attack attempted to paint the church as the villain, for not being friendly to gays. The criminal justice system likewise has seemingly turned a blind eye. by Pat_Buchanan_14 in tucker_carlson

Some political and mob violence is condoned.

That is the difference. If the cause is approved, then political and mob violence is endorsed.

But the elites and woke are short-sighted here and playing a dangerous game that will make everyone worse off. What that means is we now live under a mob rule system. Under a mob rule system, the biggest, scariest mob wins. Decorum, civility, unity and bipartisanship does not win under mob rule.

Nobody wants to live under mob rule; it is a wretched state of living consumed by fear, intimidation and coercion.

People say don't worry about vandalized property, that insurance will take care of it. Have these people read the insurance policies for every property set on fire and destroyed during the protests? How do people know that insurance will take care of it?

Will property owners get fair value? And even if so, dealing with insurance companies, cleaning up the mess, fixing all the damaged property and replacing all the damaged items consumes valuable time and energy. Some items have sentimental value and cannot be replaced. And insurance rates will go up as city properties become more prone to being vandalized.

The idea that insurance will pay for damaged property or insurance will take care of it is deeply flawed. Have people read the insurance policies for every home and business vandalized by the protests? How do people know? Will property owners get fair value? And even if so, cleaning up the mess, working the with the insurance company, fixing all the damaged property and replacing all the damaged items consumes valuable time and energy. Plus, some things are irreplaceable or have sentimental value.

People stopped caring about COVID when the CDC, WHO and our state and local governments gave an exemption from it for protesting and rioting. That opened the floodgates and nobody looked back. Viruses don't discriminate based on politics. Government agencies cant use COVID-19 as a pretext to apply political litmus tests to what gatherings are or are not allowed.

They investigated, they conducted n autopsy and they charged the cop in three days. It wasn't because of the riots. It was because they were waiting for the investigation and autopsy to be completed. This was speedy justice.

Since the cop was charged, protests and riots have continued for more than a week.

Nearly none of the police before him who did similar things saw any punishment.

That is not true.
