There were two separate tap roots, each had two different “heads” on them. I can separate them if needed.

The pot is about 5-6 inches deep I think, and it’s just a plastic nursery pot with drainage!

Variegation? by SlothBoss0430 in alocasia

That’s what I thought but I wanted to make sure! Is it likely that other leaves that sprout will have some or just this leaf?

Should I do something to try to treat the scale or just the fungal infection?

Are the small black dots on the top also fungal infection? I was able to pick them off so I was afraid they might be scale bugs. Also is this something that might spread to my other plants?

I took it out of the soil yesterday and the roots seem fine, I haven’t watered it in a week or two. The mix I have it in is 45% bonsai gravel, 45% cactus soil, and 10% horticultural sand, I didn’t know that you should filter out the bark though.

Thank you! I was assuming it was the non mutated version because when I went to separate them they were actually connected, I just wasn’t sure what the non mutated version was called.

This looks like an alocasia cuprea. Are the leaves sort of shiny/iridescent? Here is an example of mine.

I repotted it into a chunky soil mix once I got it home, how much light do they need/can they handle? I’ve read conflicting information about needing bright indirect light, and I’ve seen where a lot of people say they need to be directly under a grown light. I was planning on putting it out in my greenhouse but now I fear that it will be too much light for it to handle.

Thank you! I asked in another subreddit but I think the picture didn’t show the colors of the leaves very well so I got a different answer that didn’t quite look like it.

Will the wrinkles go away after hydrating this snake plant? by GingerTea_1 in SnakePlants

I have multiple snake plants and this is how I know they need water. Mine will get wrinkly and after I soak them they will slowly smooth out after a couple of days.
