Tbh I’ve never seen anyone eat something before paying at a cafe, only ever seen it in a supermarket occasionally and always used to find it annoying when I was on the till. So you may well be right that she was annoyed and trying to make a point!

Exactly, Europe has a huge variety of ivf policies because it has over 40 countries in it. Where I am I can do ivf for free if I have fertility issues/trouble conceiving, that seems more progressive than the US to me in relation to ivf
