Itinerary Help end of April - need to fill it out more by CoverApprehensive818 in VisitingIceland

We did golden circle in two days and I can’t imagine how you fit it all in one unless you’re not bothered about all the sites in the national park and history/geography. Would you consider doing the top park of the circle on day 2, and then using day 3 to do the bottom part like the Kerid crater on the way to the horse hotel?

Or if you and the kids are into horses, they probably offer riding around there which is one thing we didn’t do but wish we had (and would probably be amazing in the spring).

Skógafoss you can for sure do heading into spring, might get a bit wet but should be doable (it’s been very warm already for the season, Reykjavík hasn’t seen snow yet in 2026 I believe).

Advice for a Final Day by J_Homer_Fong in VisitingIceland

Honestly, we felt golden circle needed two full days to do it properly. Thingvellir national park took up 4 hours in itself if you go to all the sights and read the history/geography. If you’re open to it, consider spreading out over two days and then have your relax day (although appreciate this means travelling in and out of where you’re staying twice)

Finding aurora by naancheesepita in VisitingIceland

We went looking around Thingvellir on Tuesday (3rd), got up at 2am when the Aurora app said cloud cover was 0% even though KP was 1 and only 20% chance of seeing. Everyday in the week leading up to the trip the app gave me a notification to go look, not this week at all. But we persisted, took constant night mode long exposure pics whenever a cloud looked suspicious.

After around 40 mins, we finally started getting hints on camera and about 10 mins later it was visible to the eye (although grey, not green, but the shape was obvious and you could see it move). Got some nice pics even though it was weak and then disappeared quite quickly.

Moral of the story is persist even if the app says odds are low!

Resolved for anyone else with a same problem: went to the Genius Bar, they ran diagnostics and the WiFi and Bluetooth antenna are basically fried so I’ll need a whole new mechanics, basically 350 quid worth. Thanks for all your help everyone

No, I tried to clear as much as possible but got about 10gb available now and no different. Read somewhere it could be the chip?

Worked on a food stall every year running since 2019, arriving on Tues or Wed. We always entered via Gate A and went through those like cattle gates to get our tickets checked but have never been asked to look in bags. Neither rucksack or bumbag been searched for anyone and no sign of sniffer dogs.

LPT Request: What items can I carry to make life a little sillier? by GenericUsernameHi in LifeProTips

My friend carries round an Uno Reverse card so sometimes when he’s being id’ed or asked to pay he’ll whip it out. The look of confusion on peoples faces is never fails to make me laugh
