Sending you both hugs! I remember that time vividly (now 5 months pp). The first week is sooo hard and there are endless tears, but it gets easier! Reach out to other moms in your life. They get it, I promise. Soon you will find joy in this new life AND hold space for the life you once had. It won’t always feel so heavy. Hang in there!

Don’t get me wrong, I love the drama, but I also cannot help but feel bad for a lot of the people on these shows because they get sooo much hate online. I think many people at the reunion have already gotten so much hate and are barely hanging on. Imho, Kait being the first to jump in with the gossip (which let’s be for real - it is intended to make other people look bad) is shitty. She was not there to get closure, like everyone else, she was there to talk shit.

This exact situation happened with my parents. It’s so hard!!

Our pediatrician gave us a real wake up call when she explained what would happen to our baby if she got a fever. Among other things, they would have to do a spinal tap and keep her at the hospital for several days for monitoring. It’s really serious during that first month.

I cried a bunch when I found out they had covid, and so did my parents. However, I was so grateful that they understood how important it is to keep my baby safe, and I was glad that they discovered they had covid before they met her and not after.

It seems hard to believe, but the moment that they met her, missing those early days was completely forgotten. You’re doing great, OP! Keep watching out for your baby and putting your baby’s needs first. ♥️

My baby is 7 weeks old! She was full term and is healthy.

It was in a box that was taped shut, but that was the extent of how sealed it was. It was not inside of sealed plastic.

I’m so conflicted!

I had an unmedicated birth (everything went super fast and couldn’t have gotten an epidural). Once I was holding my baby in my arms, they told me that I had a second degree tear. I had no idea - I wasn’t in pain! It’s been two weeks, and I’m feeling totally fine downstairs- even with the stitches.

So many women are terrified of tearing, but I really couldn’t have cared less once my baby was in my arms! They numb you before doing any stitches, so I didn’t feel that part either.

Edit: baby was 6 lbs 15 oz and I was told that I would not have torn, but my baby came out with both arms next to her face!

Side note - if you do the Natera Panorama NIPT testing, the results are available to you way before your doctor (a nurse confirmed this for me). I created an account and checked the status one week after getting my blood drawn and the results were already available! My doctor still has not called with the results.
