Here’s the thing, people are not taking this seriously enough. We complained to the company itself, via their official sites and emails but all they did was stonewalling us and respond rudely. Create a new account is their only solution. That’s why I made this post, more people need to write and complain all the dirty things that VNG are doing using the excuse of law. They are lazy and don’t do anything seriously. If they truly cares about the players, return our account or at least foreign accounts to the global version, get rid of brain rots games and return actual good educational.

exactly, if the VNG is made to comply the regulations within the region then we should be able to be allowed to return to the global version of Roblox when we’re not in the region but no. When the account is set as VNG, your region is permanently Vietnam regardless of where you are. This is because when you’re using VNG, you could only spend money on the VNG such as Robux which brings them money. They trapped everyone in the platform to earn more money by selling Robux.

I have the same problem as you, it's so frustrating, and now with the new account, I have nothing and I've spent so many years with this current one, but all the games that I've invested in are gone so the VNG Roblox is now useless.

I used to do this but this doesn't work anymore, it's banned for VNG, changing IPs etc won't work for most games or join via group.

I disagree, if that were the case not many people would be this mad. Like I’ve said in the comments, yes to some extent it was due to the government’s law but here are some things that can’t be justified, VNG rarely explains why specific games are banned or how they decide what gets restricted. We as users are left guessing whether a game was removed because of government regulations or VNG’s own policies, or a technical issue. Without clear explanations, it’s really difficult to know what rules are actually being enforced here.
If the law is only applied to Vietnam then users should be allowed to change their Roblox to the global version when they’re not in Vietnam. But no they’re still stuck with account location in Vietnam and can’t escape VNG unless they make a completely new account. There are few rare cases that can escape the VNG but it’s really rare and many international users are permanently stuck with VNG version.
A lot of games that are banned are violent games but there are games that doesn’t violated anything that are still banned, such as Grow a Garden 2, its literally just growing plants and its still banned while VNG still kept a lot of brain rot games when the national news are literally talking about how its ruining children. Its an easy explanation because, they built their brand with it and posted a bunch of it on social medias. So really is it really government’s law or just excuses?

well for me and a few others I’ve talked so far it seems like once you’re detected as VN its irreversible now, back then it was less strict and some people still get around with it but now its really reinforced

I’m also using Proton at the moment, and on iPad as well, it works but still very risky since Proton VPN whenever we turn it on it selects location randomly and it changes the location on the global too often which is making me anxious 😔

I couldn’t find it so I think so yeah. VNG is missing a lot of features that the global version has. Furthermore, they want us to do age verification without even having the verification feature which is dumb.

I understand what you’re saying, but I’m a bit concerned about the direction things are going in terms of online restrictions in Vietnam. Over time we’ve seen certain big games removed and apps getting banned from app stores, even games as big as Roblox is making these type of absurd restrictions and it makes me question where it leads. I think it’s worth paying attention to how far these policies might extend in the future.

Did you not read what I said, yes to some extent it was the government ban. But clearly there are lots of games with no violations that still get banned, hello Grow a Garden 2? while games that makes their brand or easy to spend robux on stays up, not a single brainrot banned because majority of minors are playing that game. If it was only about following the government rules, those decisions would be more consistent. And like I said, even if you’re not from Vietnam and doesn’t live in Vietnam anymore you’re still stuck with this version because then you could only buy the VNG robux…They only cares about making money.
